I mentioned unscripted, aka real moments that actually show how sharp their minds are. He's still in the game, sure. After 40 years, I'd expect him to keep himself on the path, but noticing danger and pitfalls is another story.

Last election he argued with and made enemies among auto workers. This election, he's buddying up. He's done good and he's done bad, some promises unkept or even unmentioned since.

He's better than Trump, sure, but that's a low bar to set. Especially for someone who won't live to see the potential consequences of their actions.

It's not all that shocking. China has been cozying up for years in the hopes to one day exploit their natural resources. The US estimated a roughly trillion dollar potential. They knew it was only a matter of time before troops left.

Many a tech writer is anxious over AI and I keep telling them they'll just become junior editors. I don't care how good the AI is. If you take it at face value and publish, get ready for human driven rewrites.

No company will allow basic AI, open to others, to exist and learn in their private ecosystem. Just look at Samsung with dumb employees using AI for meeting minutes. I wonder how much info OpenAI or someone else got from that.

No, taxing cigarettes to a point of making it a "luxury" hobby is what did it.

How are you going to participate in this discussion and just whip out a "I can't comment on Japanese crimes"?

The rape of Nanking.

Thank the gods for the internet when it comes to music. Mongolian throat singing got more attention then it would of, especially now with the Hu reviving interest after Tengger Cavalry brought it around in the 2000s. So much obscure goodness getting some main stream attention.

Yeah, I went to check as I assumed it was probably 40s. The reality stung a bit.

Oh here we go with "That wasn't real communism!" as if any other communist state on this planet is any different.
