Truth be told, I don't want these people to join either :p but I also don't want the Fediverse to scare people away based on ignorance, not everyone will take these kinds of Tweets as jokes, I certainly had a hard time believing they were all joking.

I saw a lot of comments like this, I know is more like a joke but they do it because they don't know what the Fediverse is truly about, a lot were saying that's the reason they won't go to Threads and unironically.

When I joined Kbin I thought "bin" meant something else, not literally "beans", what's next? Lemmy means Lemmy?

BTW, in many accents or languages "Kbin" and "Kevin" are pronounced the same (taking the K as /keh/ and the I as /ee/) so is a neat pun.

Yeah that's what I voted, the Kbird looks like a Kevin to me and at least I can spell it unlike a certain alien.......
