Ok, my failure, I believed that if the problem was to spend your defense budget on US weapons, the option to spend it on non US weapons was evident. In any case, surely the French, Belgian, Spanish or British defense industry would be happy to have new clients
At no point have I suggested that one thing is better or worse, and I have also acknowledged that this list changes over space and time. I can add the social context because I agree with you regarding small groups.
However, what ultimately matters is what is culturally influential—what shapes the worldview of our societies, even for those who are not directly aware of it. There are works, not just books but also music or films, that change our perspective on the world in the long term and do so by influencing all subsequent creators (at least in the mainstream). Being familiar with these works is important, and this doesn’t mean there aren’t brilliant works outside of this sphere—it’s just that their cultural impact is so significant that they deserve your attention.
I suppose I will not convince you from my point, but I want you to know that I appreciate an educated conversation that for once does not deal with politics or things like that. I don't understand the first line because I'm not a native English speaker, and acronyms sometimes confuse me.
I agree with you, and I am very happy about this victory in France. I was referring to the fact that the working class prioritizes certain issues that the left doesn't always place at the top of their agenda.
I think it's time to show that advocating for minority rights doesn't mean neglecting measures in favor of workers. I believe this is true, but we need to demonstrate it now; otherwise, when the vote happens again in France, no coalition will be able to stop fascism.
Sin problema, tampoco parece que vaya a dar mucho trabajo así si quieres hazme mod y hago lo que pueda
I have not found data on arms production grouped by country, but I have found data on exports and this makes me doubt your statement. In any case, we do not have to face a war right now, considering R&D and industrialization as defense objectives could put us at the right level in perhaps a decade.
