I provided several examples of chromosome combinations that result in people who produce no gametes. You've said in several comments that no one is born with a body plan that doesnt produce gametes, and that is incorrect. I'm a biology major, and I'm in a developmental biology class right now There are several points in development that can cause a failure to develop a sexual phenotype.

I don't know why you're saying it's a hard line that biologists have drawn, when science is about being able to adjust our understanding of the world when we are presented with new information

Edit: The body plan that you are talking about is a result of several things ranging from transcription factors to hormones working together, not just chromosomes alone. A break at any point can result in a body that isn't "organized" (whatever you think you mean by that I don't know) to produce gametes. I feel like you're trying to play "gotcha!" throughout these comments and have no true understanding of biology. I recommend that you try going back to school

I think it's implying the opposite, that they abused their body so much during life that they no longer qualify to be donated. Weight is one of the major disqualifiers for whole-body donation.

The vast majority of bodies go to medical institutions for surgical training, with a smaller percent going to research

The quote also says it was a professor at Columbia, which is one of the universities the administration has been bullying lol

He's famous for creating a conservative organization while in college, called Turning Point USA. The org puts out a lot of smug memes to appeal to young conservative folks, so naturally people made fun of them and counter-memed.

He's said a lot of very vile things, like "Black women don't have the same kind of brain processing power" (paraphrased) when talking about how bad DEI is.

My BFF hadn't heard of him either, but they curate their feeds to be mostly uplifting fluff, and they aren't terminally online like I am lol. I was kind of surprised that he was the influencer that got shot though, I might have expected someone like Loomer or Fuentes

Palestine Action has done the most terrible of terrorism acts - they damaged property. This puts them up there with other extreme terrorist groups like Greenpeace and PETA (in the UK's eyes).

I had a cat with dementia when I was a kid, she didn't make it past 7 years old. Now I have a 16yo cat who is starting to show the same signs. Today she nearly ran out of the house when I got home, and didn't seem to recognize me. It's rough.

She's curled up next to me rn, but I'm still thinking those hard thoughts like when do I make the choice to put her to sleep? I'm not ready for that, maybe never will be, but she's always been a very frightened cat and she doesn't deserve to feel more frightened because of dementia.

doctors could refuse to treat veterans based on their "reason for seeking care - including allegations of rape and sexual assault - current or past political party affiliation or political activity, and personal behavior such as alcohol or marijuana use".

An incredibly high number of veterans (or anyone, really) with PTSD have or had substance use disorder. A large percentage of those same veterans have MST (military sexual trauma). Quite a lot of people are discharged from the military following disclosure of being a victim of rape or sexual assault while serving. This is going to lead to more veterans killing themselves because they aren't getting the care they deserve

I moved from one county to another in the same state between the last two presidential elections. Three months before the 24 election I get a letter from my old county saying I need to prove my disability or vote in person. No idea what that was about, because you don't need to be disabled to vote by mail in this state. They obviously knew I moved five hours away because I changed my address everywhere and it was directly mailed to me, not forwarded to me.

So I wrote them a nice letter back saying I had moved and had already changed my registration to my new county. One month before the election all my friends had gotten their mail in ballots, but I hadn't. Turns out my voter registration was canceled in my new county by the old one. So I re-registered, took my new ballot home and filled it out. Then I took it to the courthouse to file, and guess what? My voter registration had been canceled again. I still have no idea if my ballot was even counted, but this county was one that was blue all the way down except for president

I voted by mail in '22 from my new address with zero issues from the old one. So I'm extremely suspicious at the length that someone went to in order to discourage my vote last year. I'm positive it happened to more people than just me

Holy shit. I know people in that group. I'm kind of surprised it took them this long to do this. One of my buddies has been threatened with revocation of his benefits for past civil bdisobedience. I imagine the 50 or so that made it to the steps are in that position now.

I only watched ten or so minutes of the video, but I don't think a lot of people know what these veterans are risking to make this stand
