It shouldn't be hard to understand that what the US cares about are the rights of capital and of empire, not human rights
In the replies, pretty high up:
Ceasefire, yes. But is interrupting the way to go about it?
This is not a generational issue. Israel was an Apartheid state 50 years ago, too.
I really hope this is a bit
Most countries are assisting Ukraine where they can.
Always the same map
Minsk 2, like we don't know Russian army went in there with heavy weapons in 2014 and sponsored separatists
Minsk 2 was, believe it or not, after 2014. Having weapons for when Ukraine inevitably violates the treaty is not a transgression on the same scale as violating the treaty.
I find it weird that the former liberal consensus was that Wagner was effectively a Nazi PMC group but now I guess it isn't?
Yeah, looking busy is way more important than being productive a lot of the time. You always need to be doing something, so you just go through the motions of doing things because otherwise you'll get shit from your employers. Waiting in good faith for more real tasks to emerge isn't enough, so you must invent chores.
At least, that was very consistently my experience in retail.
while we are out there actually making the incremental changes to try to bring it about.
lmao most of the activism by liberals here is voting every 2 - 4 years and posting, don't kid yourself. Just keep carrying water for an unrepentant segregationist and telling yourself that the incremental steps you are supporting are towards progress and not a third world war.
Also because of things like r/cth posing a problem to them
What do you think of the neoliberal hell that lemmy.ml is right now?
