Eh, I don't know if Rashomon is quite a pure example as it popular kind of movie plot. It's a great movie but the the then unusual plot form gained it extra attention.

Ironically enough union busting wasn't on the original list of their duties, so policing set up an unified front to get extra to for that duty, or companies hired third party mercenaries (who may be part moonlighting police) to do it or paid extra.

Of course eventually union busting was outright codified as police duty so workers would collectively pay for a pool of mercenaries any company can use to oppress them, much more efficient.
