The liftoff app doesn't support Kbin so I guess that could be a barrier?

I keep trying to get my husband to stop checking Reddit and sign up for an alternative and in the meantime I'm sending as many awesome posts from them as I can 😂

How come whenever I subscribe to a Lemmy on a different instance it just says "subscription pending?" I don't know if these means I'll never actually be subscribed, or if I am and will see the posts i (kbin.social)

How come whenever I subscribe to a Lemmy on a different instance it just says "subscription pending?" I don't know if these means I'll never actually be subscribed, or if I am and will see the posts in my feed but am not counted among subscribers from that instance? I'm not tech savvy so I'm hoping someone can help!
