I went back at 30 to become an attorney. I’m now 46 - I wouldn’t do that now, but it turned out I also hated it. Talk to folks around your age in your presumptive industry and ask what they’d say to someone your age looking to get in. Then, BELIEVE THEM.

Anyone else thinking this can only be a bad thing? Maybe a loyalty test to try and purge any of the leadership deemed “disloyal”? We can only hope our top brass remember Oath to defend the CONSTITUTION against all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC. Stay vigilant!

So lately it’s gotten to where trying to load my “Subscribed” feed on Midwest.social results in an error with nothing loading, so I was curious if there is any way to tell if the issue is client or server side? I subscribe to about 70 communities, roughly half of which are local and the remaining being federated. I did go through each one individually the other day and they all loaded, so was thinking it could also be the sheer volume of feeds trying to load.

Thanks for any advice/suggestions, and keep up the great work on the app!

To those who squeeze single use water bottles (think Aquafina, Dasani, Sam’s Choice, etc.) - WHY? Is gravity not fast enough for you? Do you enjoy the crinkly noise? Why squeeze when it’s literally falling out of the bottle?

So I have another lemmy app that I keep around for only one feature - hoping it can be considered here. When I long press the account selector (bottom middle), not only does it list my accounts but it also queries the servers and returns 1. Response time in ms and (more importantly) 2. Number of unread messages/replies/you get the drift. I will literally hop on that, see where I have unread, then pop back over here to read them.

Thanks for listening, and would be awesome if you could add something like that.

This is INSANE! Trump is asking the Supreme Court to bless his administration screwing up TO THE POINT THEY CEEDED CUSTODY OF A PERSON THEY DIDN’T HAVE LEGAL CUSTODY OVER and not require them to fix it?

If SCOTUS backs Trump here, literally all is lost. Due process will have NO MEANING if this isn’t fixed ASAP.

His misuse of the pardon is solely responsible for why I’m fine with open season on Tesla (and really any MAGAt enterprises for that matter). Unequal justice is no justice at all, and at this point our legal system is nothing more than an unenforceable joke.
