its like there were stages but post 2000 was when it was becoming more and more apparent. To me 70's were sorta peak in terms of we still seemed to be going mostly in the right direction but things started to be dismantled in the 80's and just keep accelerating from there. by the 20teens it just became impossible to ignore all the many problems. Im lucky as im an Xer. While I would totally jump on the chance to have been born older I completely see how it gets worse and worse. I sorta lucked out for my time period as I spent enough time in school were yeah I missed some good earnings time but it kept me from having children. I know folks who started making money and had kids in the late 90's.

One thing that gets me since the double digits and is part of the enshitification is I notice more and more work is passed onto customers. I have more "paperwork" in this late computer age than I did when I was going through physical mail and writing physical checks.

oh yeah. I only downvote to straight out spam after I report. like buy xyz drugs someplace or shit like that. (kbin had a bad ending)

I can't imagine they would last long. There is this device my wife used after surgery that runs ice water through a tube to a wrap on her recovering area on and off circulation so its only going 50% of the time. Had a huge resevoir I would empty water from and fill ice into. It was crazy how much ice I had to make and constantly replenish and she was in a comfortable envirnment resting in bed. Can't image how someone being active and out in the heat with something covering way more body surface area is going to have it last long and they would need to be near a constant source of ice.

I think I mostly remember a commercial just constantly repeating wicker man.

Im looking now but I remember how when I had one I so did not and now that I don't I so do.

You know its funny. The title is so familiar I feel like I have seen it but im pretty sure I never actually did. Will have to and it seems like a good time now to given its october.

what movie is that from?

I was thinking and nothing was to big a deal but you are right. ssd and before that optical mice were major upgrades relative to price (price being the factor when I finally bought them.)

Thats the point of taxes though. It should keep climbing and earning more should be harder and harder and harder till you just can't realistically get to that point. Of course as part of this taxes have to be on all earnings for both individuals and corps. non of this capital gains crap.
