Microsoft creating security issues for not only their own operating systems but the operating systems of others.

This is the only update I've seen from it. Thank you for posting this.

I guess falsely accusing black people and throwing them in jail lost its effectiveness to replace slavery.

I think making Android iOS would increase their profit.

I think the opposite. If this happens either people would jump to iPhone or third parties that allow sideloading. The privacy crowd would start a new Android branch or just make Linux phones more popular.

I don’t have a Framework Laptop, can I still apply? Our ambassadors need to be active users and owners of Framework Laptop(s)

I wonder if volunteer ambassadors have to report to someone and if they have deadlines...

Considering the tech industry would need to use more money to enforce the law, it would be cheaper to just buy out politicians.

The leaks seem to be limited to direct calls to the C function getaddrinfo.

The Chrome browser is an example of an app that can use getaddrinfo directly.

So a Google browser...

The above applies regardless of whether Always-on VPN and Block connections without VPN is enabled or not, which is not expected OS behavior and should therefore be fixed upstream in the OS.

We’ve been able to confirm that these leaks occur in multiple versions of Android, including the latest version (Android 14).

And a Google OS...

We have reported the issues and suggested improvements to Google and hope that they will address this quickly.

It's a feature, not a bug.

This isn't a magic trick. This is more about pushing and seeing how far they would bend.

Like what you said, if all else it's a way out of the stupid agreements with gyms.

Party pooper here. You can only use approved containers to put gas in.

To OP, I really appreciate you posting the entire article. Really interesting read.

As for the subject, the difference between Wall Street and Silicone Valley is Wall Street accepts that they have illegal activities, immoral choices, assholes, drugs, and greed. Silicone Valley rejects those things exists in their world and tries to have show that innovation is the most important goal. They are lying.

I think @Fake4000@lemmy.world made a solid point here.

Nintendo goes after those that make money. That includes ROM sites too. For example, Nintendo didn't sue Dolphin developers, they told Valve to take down their software. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I am not saying that Nintendo goes only after those that make money but maybe a money papertrail takes away the anonymousness of the internet. Bank accounts makes finding people a whole lot easier.
