I have a S23U and edge panels to open up new apps and one hand operation + to make gestures from the edges helps me navigate with one hand.

Edit: I think that this feature is id-walled for kbin users. Which is good, it’s already potentially problematic enough that the entire Lemmy content is fully “crawl-able” without limitation by OpenAI and other less-desirable content crawlers; it would be really problematic if votes were unconditionally public.

It can be viewed without an account might be the url being a problem. But, you can go to kbin and then click "more" then "activity" for any comment or thread to look through what kbin was able to register when it comes to user votes.

I am not running an instance, and am not familiar with the synchronization delay, but this seems unexpectedly long (the downvotes for this post started immediately as I posted it - more than 24 hours ago, so it’s very surprising to see nothing on kbin).

kbin and lemmy has sometimes been problematic when it comes to synchronizing content. Sometimes threads don't even show up on kbin or lemmy if the opposite userbase attempts to make a thread. Same for lemmy and lemmy instances too where some comments will show up and others don't. Even more inconsistencies with how instances will have different defederation lists. This makes votes appear inconsistent from instances to instances and even more so for instances that deactivated downvotes.

Checking it appears that kbin only registers upvotes from kbin and lemmy instances now and only downvotes from kbin users publicly. Wonder if this is a decision kbin made or something was done on lemmy end to keep downvotes of lemmy users from being registered by kbin.

I've been thinking about getting an apple watch just for Apple pay and a cheap iPhone to set it up, since you can use the Apple watch to pay without internet or the iPhone after set up. Then I could root and stuff on my phone without having to rely on safety net anymore for wallets.

Samsung handles it nice where you can hide the cutout on a per app basis, and doing so doesn't move the status bar down but keeps it where it is. With the amoled display it looks like a normal status bar with the notch or pinhole camera not being obvious.

I'm not sure why some phones don't give that option, since if you do they shift down the status bar below the notch instead of just turning it black. Such a simple software solution.

I don't think it is because the comments got restored but because the reddit profile can only display something like a 1000 comments, and scripts like power delete suite can only delete what the profile shows.

For the rest you'll need to request GDPR file and the check each comment link provided to delete the ones the scripts weren't able to delete.

Decided to check it out on Windows. Built resize function is really useful. It's on ninite too which is perfect for easy updates. Went and replaced the default viewer on Windows with it. Will save me time when I do want to do a light edit that doesn't require me to go into something like photoshop.

Edit: wasn't a functionality I expected but it handles videos too and in the correct ratio compared to pixea where some videos showed up stretched. Impressive little program.

Pixea ended up being the solution. Let's me not have to do any of those additional steps. Simple open and navigate to next image with arrows.

Thank you. Simple and just works. I wonder why it doesn't work that way natively.

So what I have to do instead is select the Pic and press space. Then I can navigate from left to right. But, then it doesn't automatically move to the next row, so I have to press down to go down to the next row then move from right to left then down then left to right. Or change from my preferred grid view to list view so I can just rely on a single key press or change to multicolumn view which I'm not a fan of . Having to do those extra steps feels so clunky.

Edit: got Pixea from recs and it works perfectly. Have replaced that to open jpg and pngs.

Could you do a step by step guide on set up? I'm clueless so don't even know where the shreddit.env file is after installing through cargo. Had tried the manual method too of downloading the Linux file on github.

[-] ImaginaryFox@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

Thank you that helped it make more sense seeing an example like that.

Trying to figure out how to set this up. Got my GDPR files, but instructions seem really involved. Wish there was a video or photo guide.
