Seriously. It's the only reason I ever would have clicked the link. I feel bamboozled.

I get what you're saying, everything the article is hand-wringing about is in reality extremely good and necessary, so any thinking person's reaction is "wait, you're saying that's bad?" But the author's perspective was clear from the get-go with lines like "Forget saving the planet - now she wants to save Palestine" You can just feel the smug eyeroll. And referring to activists as "climate zealots" in the byline. You can easily tell that Brenden feels revulsion for the people who feel revulsion for the capitalism that is so dear to his precious little heart.

It's not obvious? Because white males as a demographic are the most privileged people on the planet and not coincidentally also the ones most prone to petty, oblivious arrogance, tantrum-throwing, and egotistical man-splaining. The latter was demonstrated by the one in this NASA scientist's anecdote.

I am totally with you in the broad sentiment you're expressing, but almost everything you said is ultimately just bandaids that still don't address the real deep, systemic problem, and this mode of production that will always reward greed. You were most onto something towards the end. But rather than a new French Revolution, which just sets things up for this to happen all over again, how about a new Bolshevik Revolution that aims not just to try to do capitalism more fairly, but reorganizes society in such a way as to eliminate poverty and all need in what is already a post-scarcity human epoch.

We the people have the power to seize the means of production. We the people can set society on the road to the complete abolition of class.

If only there was another country to blame it on

Russian disinformation and meddling is driving innocent Americans to suicide.

Yep, ALWAYS encrypt your messages yourself (pgp) and don't rely on the site's encryption. Ever. This isn't just opsec 101, but absolutely basic practice for anyone using DNMs. Literally the only downside of doing that is that it's slightly less convenient while the upsides can't be counted but include making it impossible for the market/site admins to extort you like this. Any buyer should know this but it's understandable that some people just need to get their meds as easily as possible and let the opsec slide where they shouldn't. But vendors?? Not using PGP to talk to people you're selling drugs to is just astoundingly short sighted. The whole purpose of DNMs is that anonymity is maintained to an extent that this kind of thing isn't possible.

Umm.. This is a war that could be the beginning of the next world war. There's escalating violence without an offramp where tens of thousands have already been killed or are currently being killed in an an asymmetric conflict between countries/political entities whose next actions have massive and immediate consequences for Iran as well as for the US. It's a little beyond a general getting killed. While there may not end up being a war between Iran and the US, the circumstances aren't comparable.

Wikipedia (to the surprise of no one here I'm sure) is in full propaganda mode along with the rest of the MSM, without even a pretense that it's not.

I happened to look up "Qassam rocket" (incidentally, due to an unrelated comment by @LargePenis@hexbear.net here) and this is what shows up in the ddg results for the wikipedia article.

The Qassam rocket is a simple, steel artillery rocket developed and deployed by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas. These rockets cannot be fired to target specific military objectives in or near civilian areas, and are "indiscriminate when used against targets in population centers".

But all the bombs including cluster bombs and white phosphorous that Israel is using to flatten Palestinian neighborhoods have "surgical precision."

The Qassam rocket is a simple, steel artillery rocket developed and deployed by the Hamas military arm. It is used by Palestinian militants to target civilian targets in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but it is too inaccurate and prone to malfunction.

Oh, those rockets are used exclusively by militants to target civilians. That's it though, they're made to single out civilians. Oh but they constantly malfunction no doubt because they're made by subhumans. I guess that explains why so many military targets get hit by them - the rockets were meant to kill civilians, but because they're so inaccurate, they end up hitting military installations instead. Makes sense.

Edit: I'm getting different results in the text each time I do the search. I guess they're editing it a lot right now. Each fucking entry still focuses on these rockets being specifically civilian-murder devices though.

Meanwhile .ml and hexbear have gone full mask off. Holy shit, these people are literally cheering mass rape and torture. They are banning anyone who says these things are not justified. It’s actually terrifying how much of an appetite for cruelty these people are willing to tolerate just to be “right.”

Israel "started this" with decades of oppression and ethnic cleansing. Anything and everything that Palestinians have done today is a drop in the bucket compared to the countless crimes of the Israeli colonizers.

Also, too bad this place isn't moderated, getting hard to choose between it and Reddit

Then go back to reddit then and spare us your concern troll moaning in support of a genocidal ethnostate. Any violence done by Palestinians is self defense at this point.

Also, this place is heavily moderated, it's just not an echo chamber where you're going to see nothing but opinions identical to your own (dogshit) worldview. Yes, your first comment was removed, as well it should have been. farquaad-point

No, we want Ukraine to stop trying to ethnically cleanse the Donbas and give the people there self determination. And we want the Ukrainian government to stop forcibly conscripting people to go die needlessly on the front in a clearly losing war. We want NATO to stop enabling all of that (it literally wouldn't be happening if they weren't demanding that it continue). That's what it is to be a peace activist. And I'm fairly sure I can speak for all of us, we are not pacifists, lol. But we are advocates for peace and the end to the horrible and needless loss of life.

Nice try to completely twist reality, and completely misrepresent us, as you war mongering dronies always do.

Edit: We actually give a shit about all the Ukrainian people being thrown into a fucking meat grinder. We care about their lives. The people who just say "more weapons to Ukraine!" do not give a shit about the lives of the people there. They're happy to just let the war keep dragging on until the last capable Ukrainian is dead. An example of how WE feel about the tragedy of the situation: https://hexbear.net/post/503747 (hexbear link to a lemmygrad news post)
