There's Obfuscate, an image redactor, and Metadata Cleaner which is self-descriptive. Both works properly without any filesystem access at all, because they use the file picker portal to ask the user for the files to be processed.

The app can then declare the network permission and it will still be marked as safe.

As a Filipino, seeing my country being mentioned in the Fediverse nearly gave me a heart attack

Canada is several months away from medically assisted "suicide" for people who don't support currently elected politicians

The best solution would be to install Prism Launcher from Flathub. This method is better than relying on downstream projects like PollyMC which may have delayed updates and be abandoned anytime: To avoid having to sign in to Microsoft spyware to play, do the following, credits to this guide:

First, open Prism Launcher, then close it. This is to ensure that the account data has been initialized.

Second, run this command on the terminal:

echo '{"accounts": [{"entitlement": {"canPlayMinecraft": true,"ownsMinecraft": true},"type": "Offline"}],"formatVersion": 3}' > ~/.var/app/org.prismlauncher.PrismLauncher/data/PrismLauncher/accounts.json

Third, open Prism Launcher, press the account button on the top right, create an offline account, and set it as the default account by pressing the Set as Default button on the right side of the list. After this, delete the No Profile account by pressing its entry on the list and selecting Delete on the right side of the list.

Done! You can now play Minecraft without the Microsoft account BS.

~~Note that I do not support piracy, but I cannot tell you to buy Minecraft first before doing this because I don't want to be a hypocrite.~~ lmao i didn't notice what community i'm on lol

I'm not from America so I have no idea how this party system works, but the point here is I love parties ๐ŸŽŠ

Newbies hating on Flatpak, Wayland, PipeWire, SystemD, and other new stuff that actually works unlike their predecessors because they were told by some racist boomer Linux YouTuber to hate those

Speaking of that app, I have been using it for some of my programs that are only available as an AppImage for sometime now and I can confirm it works really great.

Flathub link in case anybody's interested

Not that it's bad. For me, it's actually very useful, I just find it mildly amusing that an app for managing AppImages is packaged as a Flatpak, despite the two formats being widely known as competitors*.

* Okay, most people (including me) would say that the two formats are for different use cases and aren't directly competitors, but for the eyes of a lot of AppImage purists and Flatpak critics, they are.

IMHO "folder" just sounds a lot more cozier than "directory".

Bazzite is an OCI image that serves as an alternative operating system for the Steam Deck, and a ready-to-game SteamOS-like for desktop computers and living room home theater PCs.

Calling Welsh a dead language in Wales that should be abandoned is like calling Bisaya a dead language in Mindanao

I don't know if this is just a placebo effect, but it feels like there's a lot more socialization and faster upvotes in the past hour Sync was released.
