Is he going to blame his wife for that one too?

Anyone have a more trustworthy news source than the NY Post?

I used Power Delete Suite and you can set it to edit comments to whatever you want before deleting them. I recommend using something innocuous though as some subs have their AutoMod set to reject spammy looking stuff.

I’ve found that it didn’t work very well for an account that had thousands of years old comments though. I haven’t tried to run it again yet since this was just a couple of days ago but it did a good job editing and deleting newer stuff and getting everything on my less verbose accounts.

It was free and didn’t require giving your login credentials to some third party like shreddit and redact, so just depends on what you’re looking for.

Right? In my state, Right to Work was repealed as soon as Democrats had full control of the legislative and executive branches. Republicans passed it while completely disregarding Dems practically screaming that is was union busting and a horrible idea.

I live in Ann Arbor, there’s electric cars plugged into chargers all over the city during every season because a lot of people drive EVs here. About the only charging station that never seems full is the Tesla charging station they’re talking about and 6/8 is still not full. 🙄

Makes sense, he knows how to speak their language.

Good info, thank you. There’s a number of 20 yes votes to indict that didn’t actually get indicted. I wonder if that means they all flipped.

Uh, she outright stated that was the point.

Allowing insane right wing MAGA states’ Attorneys General to censor whatever content they want should scare the shit out of regular Americans. Does anyone really actually believe that they’ll stop with just transphobia?

Please contact your members of Congress to urge them to drop their support, this bill is straight old people don’t understand how the internet works garbage.

Exactly why it’s so important to have knowledgeable mods that can fight disinformation.

[-] Janoose@kbin.social 5 points 2 years ago

I have seen this exact question so many times in my decade on r/canning before mods could nuke them. It’s kind of astounding how ignorant to food safety some of those posts can be and that was before the great mod purge. I really hope the rest of the community has stepped in to warn others if the mods aren’t doing their job to combat misinformation.

What winters? It barely gets below 32F/0C in Detroit anymore. This is actually quite problematic bc we need at least two solid weeks straight of below freezing temperatures to kill invasive bugs and we are no longer getting that.

When I was a mod, karma points could come in handy when trying to decide if a user 1) just had a one-off weird day and just needed one comment removed, 2) had a slightly questionable comment history and needed to have all comments manually approved or 3) had a history of hate speech and needed to be banned immediately across the associated communities.

I also appreciated in informational subs that karma would allow for the most accurate or additional information to rise to the top. It wasn’t 100% accurate and could really depend upon the sub, particularly the moderation team, but it allowed the drivel or disinformation to be more easily ignored.

Sure, there’s a bit of gamification with made up points, but karma does have it’s uses and I’m hoping that the positive aspects can be brought over to the fediverse.
