That's all I was pointing out. And just wanted to add I think your right we should just leave ME. We have done nothing but destroy those people. There's even a great movie about it. Charlie Wilson's war. What ever human rights reasoning or freedom excuse always ends in massacre's there. We should realize we are just a destabilizing force and leave. We saw China build a bridge between Saudi and Iran. We said it wouldn't last, it did. Thus, perhaps we simply need to learn our lesson.

This is true, as I said in another post the situation is far more complex than most people understand. In fact, this whole argument comes from the Philippines back tracking on something Duerte said to China. In the Philippines defense, while there was a verbal agreement to not supply the Thomas Shoal, there was no written agreement so Marcos is not breaking anything.

I have stated nothing but facts. TPP wants to engage China.

https://news.yahoo.com/taiwans-opposition-says-towards-better-052635196.html

KMT wants the status quo.

Instead of refuting facts, the above poster resorted to insults. So yes, I insulted him back.

I expect you too will not refute facts but instead keep insulting me.

What your getting at is in my opinion, the core of the matter. It's really an issue of shared decisions. Each side is trying to position themselves to get the lion's share of them. The truth is, regardless of Taiwan and China call themselves one or separate, ultimately it will always be an issue of what decision each side gets to make. In many ways we see that playing out in the US/China relationship as well.

TSMC isn't really that important. Without TSMC and US interference, China would have just chugged along anyway. And we are seeing even with US interference, China's plan is to just chug along. It's the US that keeps bringing up TSMC because as you mentioned, it's a decision that's getting more and more out of US's ability to make decisions on.

Yes? Not sure what your point is? I'm sure all those dead Palestinians really appreciate not being alive to enjoy that donation.

And I'll quote you again

The world doesn’t work like a cartoon. There were guns and bombers involved. You can’t be this naive.

That makes you a LIAR on top of being naive. Unless the world IS a cartoon as you said.

[-] Joncash2@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah but there was definitely no reporting of bombers, so who's the naive one? Oh right, that's you. Because you thought there were bombers. Lol.

[-] Joncash2@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

I'll tell you what it definitely doesn't prove, that there were bombers used. I hate to tell you sticks aren't bombers.

[-] Joncash2@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

OMG IS THAT A BOMBER BEHIND YOU!?!? Oh wait, it's just a dude with a stick. Oh wait you think those ARE BOMBERS, You better be careful, sticks might drop a nuke on you!

[-] Joncash2@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

I'm not the one who's seeing imaginary bombers. But OK

[-] Joncash2@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Love it, still can't find those elusive bombers eh?

Wait wait wait, you think they handcraft SKS? Also, you clearly don't understand forensics. The only way they can match is if they have the gun. You can't match based on the bullet or casing alone.

*Edit: Here's a document on how forensics works.

https://www.nist.gov/firearms-and-toolmarks#:~:text=What%20is%20forensic%20ballistics%3F,marks%20are%20like%20ballistic%20fingerprints.

Key point:

If investigators recover bullets from a crime scene, forensic examiners can test-fire a suspect’s gun

They need the suspect's gun to identify.
