Even though I build and troubleshoot my own computers at home for a hobby, I always do exactly what I am told to do when contacting IT at my non-IT job. They don’t need or want my feedback, they just want me to do what I’m told and I’m happy with that.

Reminds me of The Truman Show.

Octopath Traveller looks interesting.

I’ve been getting into Metroidvania’s recently. Don’t know how I went 40 years without playing them but here we are. They’re great to play on the Steam Deck.

This is us. We often have to make sacrifices that our friends and family don’t (seriously don’t understand how people afford to eat out all the dang time and go on so many vacations) but it’s worth it.

Edit: as an example, my 10 year old nephew has a brand new iPad and just got an Apple Watch. Meanwhile, we are holding out as long as we can to replace my wife’s busted old tablet and can’t ever imagine spending money on a smartwatch when we have phones. Obviously not everyone has this privilege that we do and I am thankful for it.

This is how I’ve felt about anime forever. No hate if you like it, it just isn’t my thing so what you describe is what it’s always seemed like to me since I was a teen in the early 00s.

Haha reminds me of MST3K ‘Pumaman’ when they referenced it!

Hmm maybe William Basinski? He kinda has droney stuff that fuzzes out and goes on for a long time with piano fragments and stuff. I find his stuff very relaxing personally.

Haha no worries. Did you see the Kickstarter for the sequel to Star Control 2?

Whatever Commodore 64 ran, back when I was a little kid in the early 90s.

Islets. First Metroidvania I’ve ever tried and I love it.
