I wanted to take up percussion and was having a lot of fun with the schools xylophone and drum kits. I even signed up for band. Was told I needed to buy my own equipment but even though I had a job I was busy buying food for my household with the cash coming in.
I ended up asking my estranged father who did actually help out and buy a drum for me which my mother than turned around and sold for less than it was bought for and left me only the drum mat and a single pair of sticks.

Parents that support their children are such a blessing that I don't think the kids who grow up in it fully comprehend it. And to end up entitled from being over supplied everything and not appreciating it doubly disappointing.

Look after, love and support your kids when they seem genuinely interested in something and they will have about as good of a head start as you can give them without adding in financial security.

I actually did try to run for a local election and have tried to organize unions before.

Neither went very well and for the local office position I actually tried to work with a "progressive" election fund who never wanted to talk politics but just money. Literally told me I was too poor to run and that my dollars would be better spent with them finding better candidates.

It's a sham not exactly possible to break through without a lot of luck and momentum. They have said age makes you more conservative but it seems to actually just be money and wealth and accumulation of things makes you so.

I think the reason you don't see more is the "left" is mostly just people poor and tired. The social left liberals above us just like to use our backing while supporting an easier to work with marginalized group that looks better and is easier than solving wealth inequality flavor of the month.

You know it's funny, technically a calorie is just a measure of how much energy it takes to heat up 1 gram of water 1° C I never really thought about it but it could totally be applied to other things and nuclear reactor plants that literally just heat up water to spin a turbine would be the perfect thing to measure in calories. Tell me what console or system or even game manufacturer that lets you buy their game, download it to a portable micro SD and then lets you play it from there.

Not even steam lets you do that and you don't even have a direct way of knowing what's on the micro SD card without making a label for it which good luck.

Supposedly according to the reading material on the flash cart, yes? It seems like you just need the game file on the SD card and to put it in however cycling through multiple games on the cart is gonna be bad cause it looks like their isn't a loader in-between but you need to eject the card and put it back in to cycle to the next game you have on it.
