Yeah, everyone who spoke up was told to shut up. Already white middle class liberal Americans are scrambling to blame anyone but themselves and the democratic party. Liberals are not a challenge to fascism.

Wow, who knew the fascist party supporters would be against women having political autonomy.

I'd imagine the Palestinians being r*d in detention centers would love to be treated so kindly.

but there are serious facts to back up Frey’s worry about the impact of remote work on Minneapolis’ downtown economy.

Yeah idk what I expected from Fortune

So how is this law enforceable? Isn't the gender marker change through the state itself? I obviously assume they're going to stop providing the changes, but what about people who have already had it changed? Or is this meant to punish trans people from other states traveling to Florida?

Inevitably a cisgender woman who does not meet enforced standards of femininity will get arrested for this. Or trans men who have not changed their gender marker. Violence against queer people and cis women is the intention.

“I want to emphasize the fact that there are abuses in certain school districts that harm children,” he said. “There are materials that are inappropriate and those materials have to be specifically included in the law with language that is very specific.”

He'd rather the law say "don't talk about gay people or gay sex but all the other kinds of sex are fine you can talk about that". Does he want them to go down the list by position? Have a specific yes/no on each sexual act? I'm half being facetious because no, seriously, what is "materials that are inappropriate...have to be specifically included in the law with language that is very specific." supposed to mean?? Like what is he talking about. This is literally exactly what he supported.

I seriously thought he was dead. Haven't heard his name in years.

Unofficial extensions are still being updated. I've got working bato and everything. Haven't run into issues so far. I'm not sure how this korean company got to them or why, since they're not even hosting the content. But either way, things should be good for now.

Tachiyomi is too good to fail. It's the best manga reader that has ever existed. It's open source. If they need to offload extension support onto less organized entities, then so be it. The community isn't going to disappear.

It's interesting that this is based on 2020 numbers. The last 3 years have seen a huge wave of hatred and escalating real world violence against queer people of all sorts. More anti-lgbt political actions have been taken in the last 3 years in America than I can remember at all before then. This wave coinciding with a rise in people identifying as LGBT makes me wonder if, unintentionally, this has been driving a boom in a wider understanding of LGBT people and education of LGBT rights.

I feel like more people are aware of who queer people are and what it means to be gay or bi or trans or ace than ever before. Awareness has spread nearly globally, and there is a growing public opinion, especially among young people, that queer identity should be celebrated. It's shocking to see the growth in such plain numbers because the hate campaigns against us obfuscate just how much public acceptance of queer people has grown over the last 5 years. This, in turn, has caused fascists to adopt the narrative that queer people are taking over society, justifying itself in part on how much more common queer acceptance has become.

It makes me feel a sort of cautious optimism. Like inevitably more and more otherwise neutral cishet people are seeing queerphobia and anti-LGBT rights movements as wrong. The association of anti-LGBT movements with MAGA and open fascism and fascists like Ron DeSantis may be to some extent making more people pro-LGBT rights. As there are more openly queer people, thusly more people know someone who is queer than ever before. I think that is also probably encouraging more people to openly be themselves and live openly as LGBT people. I think there is some cause for hope that the combination of these various factors may be early indicators of a drastic shift in Western public opinion. Whether or not that will pan out to genuine political change is impossible to tell. For the time being LGBT rights are still very much under attack, with little signs of the Republicans (and all other conservatives and fascists) changing their agenda.

This isn't even the worst of it. We haven't forgotten Nazi Germany, nor what the rest of the world did to us once World War 2 ended. They call for us to be forcefully castrated in private, but their true goal is the same as the rest of the organizations throughout history who have come together to "answer the question of the queers.". They want us to be rounded up and shot.

Genocidal organizations such as those that promote conversion therapy should be banned, and individuals within them who promote such things should be prosecuted for hate crimes. But it's become acceptable in the current political climate to ponder if committing acts of violence against us is right or not.

Ah yes, Hamas, the 7000 innocent men women and children murdered must have all been Hamas members. The entire strip is Hamas according to the IDF. That's why its necessary to deprive children of food, shelter, water, and medical attention, all while raining hell down on them 24 hours a day. Makes perfect sense. They just have to you guys don't you get it all the palestinians are hamas, and those journalists they murdered they're all hamas too!

They literally said that letting trans people transition and get gender reassignment surgery will "destroy our nation". Its literally fascist rhetoric. They're banning changing your gender on documents, something only 3000 people have done since 2016. The country has 143 million people.

This is genocidal rhetoric. This is a transparent attempt to promote conspiracies against trans people intending for average people to think "trans people are going to destroy my society" and "trans people are a threat to families and children". It's literal fascist genocidal rhetoric.

Yikes the anti-feminist takes in this thread lol

Men do not experience body policing in even remotely similar ways to women. If that fact offends you you probably don't actually understand how misogyny functions.
