I for one vote for EU wide usage of Latin commands, EQUALITER AMBULA!
I might be wrong here but NATO countries already have to adapt language related practices to NATO practices, e.g. the NATO phonetic alphabet.

I believe so aswell, but there is lemmy.ml for example, which apparently is meant to stand for "marxism-leninism" in that specific instance (.ml is Mali's country TLD).
IIRC two letter domains are reserved for country specific domains, the non-country domains start with three letters.

Brave of you to walk into the ~~lion's~~ linux den with that
Yup. I had never heard of the fediverse and so glad I got introduced to it with the added benefit of many others doing so as well (so there is content and activity here).
Thanks for telling me about Voyager, I feel like I finally found the app for me!
Signed. Although I wanted to ask if it has any value if it was signed by someone from outside of France/not French?
Couple of thoughts:
Casual Conversation was a nice community on reddit and it might make it easier for people coming from reddit to find familiar communities in Lemmy. But your point about activity is good, makes it easier to come to lemmy if you see more activity.
As I understood !general@lemmy.world can have also serious and controversial topics and it has way more posts with links, while here the emphasis on posts is to make a text post.
Not for or against merging to general, just adding my thoughts :)
Edit: clarification and typo fix.
It's the flapping of buttcheeks during the fart, my fellow farter.
Might be a stupid question, but can't threads just post ads as "posts" via activityPub? On mastodon they would appear as toots?
Was just remembering how reddit introduced ads as basically promoted posts and recall facebook doing the same.
I sure fucking hope not.
