It is, I love the manga and the movie very much

Insects come out at the crepuscular times Between two extremes, hot and bright, dark and cold The sun rays cast through an ocean of motes Dust, pericarps, insects, hummingbirds, bats Even in concrete suburbs I am reminded of the ocean we live under This atmosphere would suffocate me I am a masked intruder in the toxic jungle

[the toxicity is seasonal allergies]

HI, I'm Lizzy. I'm a mechanical engineering student at UNLV. I'm between classes right now so I'm all of my productive energy into networking with activists across the valley. I consider myself a representative of the Las Vegas Solarpunk community. My main fixations are housing, because I get homesick too easy, and bicycles.

Las Vegas is a battleground of classes, there are golf courses and casinoes built, meters away from the storm drains where the poorest of the poor take refuge. But we do have some grassroots activism: Food/water shares, makerspaces, queer spaces. There are a few scattered community gardens even! So we clearly do have all the technology needed to abolish work and move to a solarpunk future, it just needs to be scaled up. Oh and I've had zero luck so far finding people who are fixated on taking housing off the private market.

I hope to network with others in Las Vegas, and in other cities! What cities are y'all from? What are your fixations? Does your city have more developed mutual aid networks? (probably lol)
