Aren't all lights led nowadays? I don't think the type of the light is the problem

Very much unrelated but I recently read samsung's smart monitor/tv privacy policy and it says they can record EVERYTHING you do on it and devices connected to it including programs or games you use and you can't opt out of this short of foregoing smart features (except screen casting) altogether. There's also an option (that doesn't look optional in their ui) that lets them automatically process that data.

I'd heard those things were ridiculous but didn't imagine this much

I really wish people stopped recommending mint for any purpose other than reviving a 20 Yr old laptop into a chromebook.

It was considered best practice to never install anything

In what universe? You might as well never turn on your computer.

Isn't the point not to have an ectual licence plate? If you have one why not display it?

Why not a permission slip in the beginning of the year with checkboxes for everything that might need a permission slip. Is there a requirement for them to be specific?

Wow there are some silly reasons for gluttony:

Eating at the wrong time
Wanting a particular food
Enhancing taste of food
Enjoying taste of food
Having opinions about food preparation
Liking Eating food
Making bad trades for food

Although some of these feel made up. Someone doing one of these and then eventually dying doesn't mean it was caused by gluttony, but there are examples in the wiki where that's the case. Others feel like cases of 'committing other sins while interacting with food or while it is around' and someone tried to make it about the food

"Google's IP Protection means ISPs will no longer have visibility of data via an IP address whist leaving Google with the ability to monitor and process data at all times"

Wait, I must twist this in a way people will care

"This will make the provision of child protection services more difficult for ISPs."

Initially, IP Protection will be opt-in, but Google intends to make it the default setting for the Chrome browser.

Although I'm not a huge fan of compulsory VPN for everyone. A future where only a small amount of people have direct connections from their homes sounds bleak.

I don't think tags would be a solution as they wouldn't be standard threadiverse-wide. Also porn communities would want to mark their posts with specifying tags like every other community does instead of a generic porn tag.

What's needed is expansion of the nsfw mark into subcategories
