That's been my biggest problem with the pretty low number of americans I have actually met. They've all been so fucking obnoxious and look-at-me-I'm-better-because-'Murica.

Not just that but the lies? Holy shit the amount of lies I've had to listen to. American dude told me he just kinda woke up in my european city after having been drinking and doing drugs. When he came to he realised he'd bought a house after landing. Told me he was going to be mayor in my city because he thought most danes would really like his american values. Like in what fucking world can a person be so fucking delusional to think anyone would believe that? That's not how any of this fucking works! Thankfully that's the worst one I've met.

Oh god this was my previous colleague. "Hey MBech, mind showing me how I do this thing in Excel you've shown me 100 times?" Sure thing, but at least try to remember. He even told me he forgets it instantly because he just doesn't give a shit about computer stuff. Then you probably shouldn't have a job that has you working on a computer 90% of the time.

How was it not already?

Don't get me wrong. Fuck the lunatic, but this just seems like something that everyone assumed was already a thing, and now, when they realise it wasn't, is super mad at Trump about, because it's Trump.

There's plenty of things about this piece of shit to be mad about, but making English the official U.S. language, when roughly 80% only speak english doesn't seem like such a far fetched take.

I don't disagree with that, and I think it's a horrible situation it's putting everyone in, obviously by far the most horrible situation for the people whose home is going to become inhabitable. But realistically, Europe would have to take in too many people. The current population of Northern Africa is roughly 275 million, and the population of the Middle East 500 million. Europe currently has about 742 million people. Doubling that in refugees won't just change our way of life. Society would collapse. Sure, a bunch could go to Asia, but they're already seeing a noticable increase in weather related catastrophes. So I'm not seeing that as a real posibility.

With the opposition he's facing in the EU, no matter how safe it'll be (lol), it'll never be introduced.

As a socialist from Denmark, what convinced me to stop supporting immigration was the realization that we're going to see an overwhelming increase in immigration due to climate change, because enormous parts of northern Africa and the Middle East will become uninhabitable. The increase in climate refugees coupled with our absolutely appaling integration policies, made by right-wing parties over the last 30 years, has convinced me we will absolutely fail misserably if we don't stop.

My politicians are simply too inept to be able to handle it, and it will destroy my country in the process.
