What you're calling radioactive waste is a marketing term. In nuclear power it's referred to as unspent fuel. We're just getting to the point in our nuclear power technology to be able to use the rest of the "radioactive waste". It's why we don't bury and seal off the storage sites. It's still fissionable material with the right technology.

I agree modern phones have the horsepower to do a full on audio production; how does a 3.5mm jack help in this setup that a multi-bus USB-C DAC or mixer can't do a better job than a driver that's confined to 5mm of space?

On the flip side;

Surcharges in the amount of $35 for each $5 gold coin sold; $10 for each silver dollar sold; and $5 for each half dollar sold—totaling $50 for each three-coin set sold—are authorized to be paid to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Harriet Tubman Home, Inc., in Auburn, New York, to advance their missions.

And they're only $50 for the actual Hitachi model. Always assumed it would be far more expensive.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 8 and Huawei Band 8 are rather nice watches that do essentially the same thing as the very expensive smart watches for about $40 and they last about 2 weeks

To be fair, the question wasn't about the girlfriend. They could hate both of them.

Same here. I've never had an issue with Adguard or any reason not to trust it but because it's a small Russian company dealing with encryption I don't feel comfortable openly recommending it. I personally think it's great and run it everywhere.
