Damn, beat me to it. Colonialism is a hell of a drug.

~~A potential dockworkers strike could mean product shortages and high prices ahead of the holidays~~

United States Maritime Alliance refusal to bargain with workers in good faith could mean product shortages and high prices ahead of the holidays

0.3mm in length, not diameter. Yes, you can see them, but they just look like dead skin/gunk to our eyes.

15-18 yos? The oldest of Gen Z are about to turn 30. Not saying they're justified, just that Gen Z isn't just 15.

Seconded. This takes what's laid out in ML theory and shows what it looks like in practice from an outsider's perspective (a US citizen who moved to the USSR). It's a great read and I found it very enlightening.

It was written in the 1930s, but one of the most important aspects of this account is that it compares and contrasts the lives of people 1) before the revolution, 2) after the revolution, and 3) in a capitalist state in the same time period. Just because it's old does not mean it doesn't contain a valuable perspective. Everything written in this is still relevant to today, which you can see for yourself if you give it a shot.

Unfortunate for them that you can't solve the contradictions of capitalism by trying to passively ride them out.

Side note: to anyone looking to follow this method, please try to limit the amount of toluene you are exposed to by wearing gloves and working in a well ventilated space. It can do dirty shit to your nervous system and I've seen chemists start to experience symptoms from relatively little exposure to the fumes.

You're doing good work.

I completely understand blocking or ignoring those who engage you in bad faith, but when someone disagrees with you and also engages in a discussion in good faith, you are merely silencing voices of dissent by blocking them.

How is that approach not creating an echo chamber? It seems hypocritical to label spaces that welcome good faith discourse "echo chambers" while creating your own.

Some grow up without fearing words, but understanding the implications of the language they use and the effects it can have on others.

But no, it's definitely that people are "afraid" of the words, not that they try to be cognizant of their words and actions.

Living rent-free in your mind. Kudos on your dedication to your community, but your time may be better spent on a different hobby. Maybe try reading "tankie" theory?

Everything is political. This is why human rights get attacked by politicians.
