What’s on shopping lists this school season? Parents plan to spend the most money on clothing and accessories for their kids (44%), followed by groceries and food (17%), school supplies (16%), electronic devices (8%) and after-school programs (8%). Speaking of – after-school programs, such as sports and clubs come with their own price tags, setting parents back even further.

Helpful context left out of the title and snippet.

More than half (53%) of parents said they planned to shop Amazon Prime Day sales

Do these people realize Amazon slowly creeps up the price before these sales so they can drop them back to normal and make it look like a good deal? All retailers do this shit.

Fuck, schools were chronically under-funded when I was in K-12, but their budgets just continue to get tighter each year. Parents and teachers are buying supplies for the classrooms that should be provided by the school.

"You're required to go, but we won't provide the necessities for your studies." Look ahead and they'll make it voluntary (and even more expensive) to attend after elementary school so they can shove the older kids back in their mines and McDonalds.

Mostly in the recommended reading order, but he listed some notes on their importance or when they can be skipped, etc. with many of the sources, particularly at the start of the list.

This should take you up through where you were at State and Revolution and where to go next. I have to say that the recommendation others have given for Black Shirts and Reds is also a very good place to start for the reasons they gave.

Almost all of these can be found on the internet archive, Anna's Archive, or you can ask around on lemmy.ml or lemmygrad.ml for free digital copies. While some people prefer physical books, there shouldn't be any need to pay for these unless you want to.

Which books...would you recommend?

@Dessalines@lemmy.ml put together a good reading list that includes the reading order.

GIs and veterans refuse to be complicit in genocide.

A bit late for that, but a good change in direction. Next lets end the imperialistic wars they are participating in as well.

Literally the only answer this one deserved.

I think I may not have been clear in my last comment.

I agree and was not saying he advocated for voting for liberals. We should not be voting for Biden and I personally plan on voting for the PSL candidates at this time.

My argument was with the "participation in bourgeois elections is an endorsement of those systems" part of the comment.

I wish you were wrong.

The top is meant to represent the socialist solution to homelessness. These are socialist block apartments built to ensure that everyone had housing because homelessness was a huge problem. They were functional, but because they were built to functionally address a need quickly, they weren't large or luxurious. They were built to last and the rent levels were controlled at a low rate if the people didn't outright own the place themselves.

The bottom picture is the liberal solution to homelessness. Apartments suck, fuck the homeless, jack up the rent prices. The convenience of the few is prioritized over the needs of the many.

Funny how someone who is mentally 12 could put this together, but you couldn't be bothered.

Fucking tell me about it. The best part is how they try to justify how they are only focused on themselves by shit like calling apartments "inhumane." JFC, living in an apartment is not inhumane. Living on the street is inhumane.

Nobody is saying this stupid strawman you are arguing! If the kitchen is on fire and the trashcan is full, what do you do first? Do you take out the trash first because you can't live in such a wretched state?

Your vile passion is just thinly veiled narcissism. You can get your just desserts after we take care of major societal problems affecting the wider community. POOR YOU.
