I work in a warehouse of a company that sells a pretty huge variation of products. I drive fork lifts on a regular basis, but my work is about 50% computer work too. But not in the office, my computer is in the warehouse.

I used to be a computer programmer, but being in the office all day drives me nuts. I need to be a little bit more active and I also like to change my view every now and then.

We have basically no downtime, there is always something to do, we are understaffed, the new hires don't have a clue so all the work comes to the experiences workers. We are also trying to change some processes but we barely have the time.

So for me, the question was just really weird, I cannot imagine having nothing to do. I don't even know what I would do if I have nothing to do. Probably take the day off or something...

We say it just like I wrote it, as one word. Although some people use Griekse IJ, which is also two words.

Burning plywood or MDF is not recommended. The glue could release some toxic fumes.

Abuse chances the way you think. It can be fixed. I've seen it happen. But you will have to take action, abusers tend to never change.

If you cannot do that, if you keep believing you can't then you have given up. This is my last reply about this. I wish you the best and hope to hear from you in the future when you are in a better situation.

On the other hand, I am just a stranger on the Internet, so I have no real info about your situation. But I've seen hopeless situations like yours before, and I've seen them get resolved. So I hope you find a way. Because there always is.

It could help with long term to define sub goals.

For example, about what amount of savings you want to have by which date, or set a date when you want to have a clear concise description of what kind of house and location you are looking for.

At another date you want to be familiar with all the things that involve buying a house, the documents and what not.

By defining sub goals you keep things real and are able to measure your position towards your goal.

It's a valid strategy for dealing with complex and long term stuff.

Not sure, but if the windshield shattered there's probably damage to other parts too. If the bike had side farings those would probably crack too and need to be replaced. If not, the engine could have touched the ground, and replacing once of the sides of your engine isn't cheap either.

The handlebars could be damaged, the forks could be out of whack. Everything needs to be checked to make sure it's still safe to drive.

800 dollar may not be the damage that was there, but if you take into account the hours the mechanic has to spent checking and fixing the bike, the bill adds up quickly.

Source: dropped my bike. Around 1200 euro damage. That was not a fun experience.

There are many "nature films" where indeed the cameraman is filming himself during such activities. I think it's a budget thing...

I like those last three sentences. You managed to capture the infinite size of the universe and what it means. Bravo.

While it probably isn't the issue for you, I have once been chasing a hard freeze that was caused by some APM setting in the BIOS. If you are on AMD right now you could check it.

It was very weird, setting it to automatic would cause random freezes. Setting it to on or off would both work just fine. Somehow the automatic setting gave me issues.

Just a random thing for you to check I guess.

Looks like the network mount is the problem.

Now you need to find out more. You can try setting up a mount outside the VPN network and check if that causes the same problem.

If it does, there is something going wrong with mounting over a network.

If it does not, you can try mounting a different location on the same drive through VPN. If a different folder or location does not cause problems, you know you have to look at the specific location that is causing problems.

If a different location on the same drive still causes problems, it could be your VPN connection causing problems or maybe the drive is failing. Check the drive for errors, and check if your VPN does work properly overall.

This should be a decent start to figuring out where the problem is.

Also make sure to check permissions, since it sounds like the Save as screen is trying to access the location but it does not get the proper response. See if you can access the location in a file explorer.

I always feel like whenever somebody is making the specific point that they are so much smarter compared to somebody else they are just boasting their own trumpet.

Maybe you are smarter, Maybe you are not. Who cares? Are you developed on an emotional level to a point where you can deal with both so called smart and so called dumb people?

If you stop thinking about how smart people around you are and start working with them you'll learn to get around through life.

If you like the girl, go for it. If you think she is not smart enough, let her go. But always respect people, because that is what they will remember about you.

And I personally learned that everyone you meet has the potential to surprise you because they think just a little different. Enjoy the variety, enjoy the challenge of communicating what you mean on different levels.

Consider boosting up from a live Linux(for example Ubuntu) and using boot-repair. I have had similar problems and managed to at least get the Windows boot going again.

Also are you using UEFI or MBR?
