weary=tired

It's a good comment just trying to help.

I love the game I just hate having to build the houses and manage the people. It's not creative it's just make these boxes in this certain way.

Since keeping the squirrel was stupidly illegal, he couldn't get a rabies shot for it at a vet.

[-] MutilationWave@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

Sadly I think the monetary value of a cat is like $15 reimbursed. I imagine a squirrel is worth even less.

The stupid law that makes him unable to legally keep the squirrel is preventing him from taking it to a vet to be vaccinated.

All these mistakes grind my gears, but this one is especially bad. Some of them make sense because of the way the word is pronounced.

Who is out there saying costumers instead of customers? Nobody says it like that.

This article specifically mentioned only changes to the computer hardware, not the cameras.

Good way for people to remember the difference! Even my wife had this one mixed up for a while, and she's very sensitive to confrontation. So I confronted her and she was angry for a bit but now she says it correctly.

I have a good friend who thinks teetotal means very drunk when it actually means no alcohol consumption whatsoever. I've brought it up to him a couple times and he reacts negatively. I haven't heard him say it since the second time.

I don't want to be a stick in the mud about these things, I just want people to improve their communication so they are respected and taken seriously.

If I see something like a there/their/they're mistake I just stop reading the comment. Probably unfair of me but I just disregard the person's opinion. And before anyone wants to tell me that not everyone speaks English as a first language, it's actually native speakers who make that mistake. People who learned English later in life generally know the difference.

They've sent a lot of weapons compared to their GDP. Probably only behind the US on that ratio.

I had a neighbor, 92 years old, who I was helping out by driving her around and buying stuff for her. Took her to the ER a couple times. She has since passed away.

We rarely talked politics. She watched Fox News just about all day. She asked me why I didn't like Trump. I kept it simple, I said he lies all the time about everything he speaks about.

Her reply- "When has he ever lied?"

It's pointless.

It should be common sense. If you're here illegally, why would you commit crime that will certainly get you departed if caught? The consequences for undocumented immigrants for even minor crimes are so much higher than for citizens.

It's mostly due to Republicans backing off their "only vote on election day" bullshit because it hurt them last time.

Yo

So I have balls and yeah they're the first thing on my body to start to smell. I can skip a shower if I'm in a hurry and I don't smell much. That's with working a job that's usually physical. I was a punk kid fucking punk girls when I was younger and we didn't bathe every day. I didn't notice much smell then.

Now I see these ads regularly that are like hey women you stink after 12 hrs 5/10. What's up?
