No, you can make a seasonal character straight away. The restriction is that you can't access the seasonal content (malignant gems, malignant quest line) until you've finished or skipped the campaign with that character.
Seems nothing we can do actually affects the landscape. Even the druid's "landslide" doesn't actually do any environmental damage.
Yep, and many of the free elixirs you get are quite useless, like "+10% fire resistance". But they all give extra experience gain so always worth having one up.
From what I recall, they said that you can do it whenever. Whenever you log into a character that has more progression in altars and map discovery than your account is at currently, your account progress will be updated.
Bonus points if you wait for the quest dungeon to pop up as a Whispers dungeon. Extra extra bonus points if you wait for it to be a Whispers dungeon and then activate a nightmare sigil on it.
My sorcerer using ice shards / frost nova at level 70 was still blasting through everything. I hadn't even bothered levelling paragon glyphs or anything, so I imagine it'd be even better if I did.
But I spent the last week or two playing as a barbarian to level 65 and it was just so much fun smashing everything.
I probably won't play until the weekend, then will make a start on season character. I'm thinking I'll go rogue as I haven't even tried that class yet.
LOL, now I'm imagining what D4 would be like if it was just a copy/paste of D1's content. Millions of players would be complaining that the game is only a few hours long and there's no "end game". :D
I'm doing HotA and my basic rhythm (ignoring shouts) is "Lunge, lunge, hammer. Lunge, lunge, hammer."
Then if I add shouts into the mix, it basically becomes "lunge, hammer, lunge, hammer, lunge, hammer". It feels good. :D
Increasing attack speed ups this tempo to insane speeds. At one point I had an aspect that would increase attack speed by 25% after a core skill crits. Accelerating aspect, I think.
I'm not sure if I'll ever get to the point where I can just hammer constantly. I still need something to generate rage between hits even if it's just a single lunge. Groups of mobs just die almost instantly and combat mobility is insane thanks to lunge - shamans don't stand a chance.
Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel about most of the uniques. I don't think I have a single character actually wearing any. They're cool, yes, but I tend to look at them and go "cool" and then stick them in my stash and keep my better boots on.
Most of the lucky hits seem a bit "meh". Keep in mind that lucky hit is a double roll, so you first have to roll a lucky hit and then you roll for your "up to a 5% chance" proc.
Small chance to heal isn't great. Small chance to restore resource is okay. Small chance to immobilise, I don't really care. Small chance to daze is okay as it's effectively a stun.
Random 1% to 270% of your normal damage. You'll average out to around 135% damage, so it could just be replaced by an item giving +35% damage.
It's a fun item, I guess, but I'd really hate to have a string of 5% damage hits against a boss.
Most classes suffer with resource upkeep. My sorcerer was painful to play with mana issues until somewhere around level 50.
I'm currently levelling a druid and not having too much in the way of trouble. Using storm strike and the howl for increased attack speed, I basically go "punch punch pulverize" over and over again.
I think this combos well with the "natural balance" aspect which makes storm skills give increased crit damage to earth skills, and earth skills give increased crit chance to storm skills.
We have only two gas appliances in our home - the gas stovetop and the instant hot water. I definitely want to look at replacing these with induction and something electric for the hot water. We have solar so would prefer to use this if possible. Also considering getting batteries at some point.
Anyone done something similar?
