Next time something breaks, try repairing it. Pull it apart and look for whats broken, google if you need info or ideas on fixing the problem, and go for it. Worst case scenario you can't fix something that wasn't working, best case scenario you've saved something from the scrap pile. Either way you'll have a little bit of knowledge you didn't already, maybe some skills

We had trolley busses here in Wellington NZ for decades. The network needed an upgrade so our shortsighted council ripped it down while promising battery buses to replace the trolleys. We ended up with old, dirty, diesels chugging round our city for years, an I'm not sure we've gotten rid of them all yet. It was a disaster.

We watched Saltburn. I liked it but it's a lot. Some scenes seem to be there to illicit strong reactions from the watcher and they certainly did with me.
