I have wonder if this is applicable to mosquitos as well. If so, time to buy some yellow clothing.

You forgot to mention the philosophical archetypal substrate.

He'll do whatever he can to maximize clicks on his videos, just like the rest. I don't find him particularly insightful. I can tell he is passionate about nature, or at least getting money for making nature videos. But, he is sometimes disrespectful and disruptive of wildlife in pursuit of his video ambitions.

Do you remember when Sun Chips changed their chip bag material to a more environmentally friendly compostable material? People lost their minds. Why? Because the bag crinkled a lot. All of the boring late night talk shows made fun of Sun Chips bags. So, they switched it back to the old bags.

Moral of the story is that people don't care if something is better for the environment if it inconveniences them now. If everything was in cans people would cry because they can't close them or whatever. In fact, many items that were previously sold in cans are now plastic. Also, money... Cheaper to wrap water in plastic.

You can still buy Coca-cola in glass bottles if you look hard enough. But they are pricey.

Some Millennials are now in their forties. "Now is the time?" Now it's too late. These generations have missed so many milestones. We don't need "progress in delivering policies" - whatever the hell that means. We need to afford a house, food, and other necessities for life. We want to start families of our own. At this point, we all know nothing will happen.

Something something meritocracy...

Billionaires shouldn't exist. It's obscene.

Landlords. Housing as a commodity in general.

Bad news, it's people over 30 too. Kinda obvious when you aren't able to hit milestones and afford the life society "promised" you. One day you ask yourself "what's the point?"

FYI, Metro "reported a first-quarter profit of $228.5 million".

What "shit" did they "pull with their app"?

All I gathered from your post is that you want to ditch DDG because of a newsletter issue. Please explain your privacy and security concerns.

In my opinion, the biggest problem with Linux is it requires tinkering in terminal which nearly every non-tech savvy person finds intimidating. Even if it's a simple command. Until Linux has a shiny dumbed-down GUI for everything you need to do, it won't catch on for the average PC user.

Linux has made incredible progress in this area though. But, everytime I use a new Linux install, I encounter errors or something that requires troubleshooting and terminal use.

Everything is turning into disgusting subscription services. Most recently I saw home printers that required a monthly subscription service in order to print.

So, how long before Windows is a subscription? They have already brought ads into Windows.

Yes, I think I'll sign up for the...hm, the "Casual Gamer" tier, which allows 2 hours per week of gaming. Although I could always watch an ad to unlock 30 more minutes.

I'm not even saying this to be nice. You are 25. You're a baby. You may feel like you are old. But you are not. Not even close.

Ever hear the saying "youth is wasted on the young"? This is why people say it. Hindsight is gonna slap you in the face when you are actually old. You're fine. It's not too late.
