Hm, ok. Lets say that the goal of TikTok is to be overstimulating, to catch your attention and provide bursts of dopamine. I'd argue that any form of entertainment (like books for example) aim to do the same, albeit on a less intense scale. Yes, you could say that books require patience and commitment unlike the short form content of Tiktok. But I wouldn't say they're opposites.

Probably watching paint dry would be the opposite? That would require an almost meditative/zen state

What an interesting concept for a game! Reminds me of Before Your Eyes, in which you have to keep your eyes open - but quite the opposite in this case.

Will check this one out.

Speaking of classics I have just now finished The Idiot by Dostoevsky. I think I need some time to process it! It felt like a commentary on the changing society of the time, and how a perfectly innocent and loving person couldn't survive said society. More than anything the book seemed like a vessel for Dostoevsky to share various ideas and philosophies.

Because the pirates are the fans who actually care about the game I suppose.

I wasn't sure what to make of 'gay furry Mario-like'.... But the gameplay actually looks pretty polished - clearly inspired by SMB3! I'll give the demo a go.

Oh that's interesting! Explains why I always had difficulty chasing down shadow Mario on Switch

I'll have to check if it's possible to use analog triggers with the SN30 Pro+ on Dolphin...

Interesting article, and a worrying trend. Stamping a bit of text like 'Generated by Midjourney' is ridiculously weak protection though. I wonder if some kind of hidden visual data could be embedded within AI images - like a QR code that can be read by computers but is invisible to humans.

Just found the wikipedia page for steganography. Have any AI companies tried using this technique I wonder? 🤔

That sounds like quite a messy and inefficient process! But I guess as long as it can be done quickly enough, it doesn't really matter?
