We'll just be back where we started then, but now alot more people would know about the fediverse and could switch to Mastodon if/when Threads goes downhill

There is no 'main' website. It's all connected. People just started joining that because it's big and overloaded it, and now it's having federation and stability issues.
This seriously needs to implemented in lemmy already. Not being able to see the true member count/activity of all communities is a massive blow to discoverability and very anti-ux, and likely the biggest hurdle for newcomers.

Doesn't mean much; vlemmy is a pretty normal general instance.
It's best to recommend vlemmy.net, lemm.ee, and reddthat.com to new users though imo to prevent strain on the bigger servers
I'll pay the author again if a new Sync arrives with Kbin support.

Sync for Lemmy in 3~ weeks, direct kbin support later on
The instance itself is run by the head mod though; I'd say it's much better than relying on a company that might shut down the sub any time
