It's pretty telling that you think these pictures would be triggering to me. I'm not a nationalist, I have no problem saying that the nazi regime was horrifying. I have no issue saying that the current government unconditionally supporting Israel is a bad thing either. I'd never pretend the place I live in is the best place ever, or morally superior. Can you do the same?
To be able to claim they're not a monopoly. But I'm not sure what you're getting at. You want Google to create a new org to compete with Chromium after Mozilla dies? That seems neither realistic nor something to hope for.
It's great to see discussions on Lemmy where both opposing viewpoints are upvoted. You definitely don't see that on reddit. Seems to be getting less common on Lemmy too though, unfortunately.
Every war has human suffering, it's not sufficient to classify it as a genocide.
Now, when I look at the Iraq war, the goal was to destroy Ba’athist Iraq. By the same definition, wouldn’t that war have been a genocide as well?
The destruction of a particular government does not fall under the definition of genocide, no.
It seems, at the very least, deceitful. If you don't want to give money, just don't and don't pretend otherwise.
Is this the first AI generated movie or something?
I mean, we already have "Wish"...
Their reason for not going into any details or provide any evidence is that it might be a government plot and they'd get into trouble for sharing it. Sounds like bullshit to me TBH. Just someone looking for attention.
Biologically speaking, there are no races. It's ultimately just an arbitrary classification that can change entirely on people's preconceptions. For example 100+ years ago, Irish people were often seen as not white by Americans.
...Not trying to say it's racist to say you're white though. That's a ridiculous idea.
It‘s in one of the randomly changing quotes, appeared for me after a couple of refreshes.
First one was right at my birth, as I came out feet first and was apparently almost strangled by the umbilical cord which was around my neck.
When I was about 5, a large wardrobe fell over and missed me by just a couple cm.
Most recent one was a few weeks ago when I was riding my bike. An oncoming BMW cut a corner and, as the road was inside a ravine, couldn't see me and almost crashed into me.
Sounds like a very different situation to what I'm used to in Germany. I can get my e-bike repaired and serviced at small local shops without any issue. And probably 80% of e-bikes use Bosch motors and batteries (the rest mainly Shimano and Yamaha), so bike shops will be familiar with those.
Yeah, with a launcher- and DRM-free version, I think the hate is quite misplaced here. It's especially extreme on reddit. There is an irony of people who are supposedly against exclusivity writing things like "No steam no purchase.". I guarantee those people never complain about a Steam-exclusive game not being on GoG or EGS.
