Unfortunately par for the course in game development.
People feeling entitled on the internet were always a thing.
Those 2019 people were just another year away from finding out what an actually crazy year looks like.
It's great to see discussions on Lemmy where both opposing viewpoints are upvoted. You definitely don't see that on reddit. Seems to be getting less common on Lemmy too though, unfortunately.
Not saying it is, but they have done so before for games with particularly bad launches.
Cool, love the Redwall-esque setting. I hope they get their marketing right this time and don't overpromise.
A 17th century bible.
My point is that when we learned to interact with technology like computers, we had to start at a much lower level, that naturally gave us a deeper understanding of the technology because it was required to use it. I learned the MSDOS command line when I was 6 years old, not because I wanted to learn about the technology, but because I wanted to play games on the computer. It just happened to give me a basic understanding about how a computer's file system works.
These days you don't have to worry about any of that, as technology is for the most part effortless to use and doesn't require any understanding below the surface. So naturally Gen Z people won't pick up the knowledge Millenials did, not because they're dumber, but because they don't have to.
When it comes to the barren planets, it just adds a bit of immersion IMO. Nobody is forcing you to visit those rocks, and you probably won't ever land on most of them, but it's cool that you can. So to me, it's not something that has a negative effect on my enjoyment of the game.
Makes sense to wait for a sale though. Mods and updates will no doubt vastly improve the game. Personally, I just play it on gamepass.

Sounds like a very different situation to what I'm used to in Germany. I can get my e-bike repaired and serviced at small local shops without any issue. And probably 80% of e-bikes use Bosch motors and batteries (the rest mainly Shimano and Yamaha), so bike shops will be familiar with those.
Yep, that's how we spell it.
