I don't actually know, but in my mind the audience most likely to watch those cruel "pranks" and find them funny are kids or teenagers themselves.
I haven't bought a paper map once in my 30 years of life. My parents still used them in the 90s and early 2000s when we went on vacation.
In Germany, you can get a seat with less than 1%. In the last election, ÖDP got one with 0.6%. Not an expert on the electoral system, but I'd guess it's because Germany has more seats in the first place.
Some of the better ones have removable cables. You'll usually just yank them out or worst case if the cable is damaged you can easily replace it.
I got to fly a lot and always looked forward to it as a situation where no one can get mad at me for spending the whole time watching movies, playing games or reading books. Some of that childhood joy stuck with me, and I still look forward to a chance to sit back and read or zone out to music without any nagging work obligations
Pretty much the same reasons I like traveling on trains. The reasons why I don't like plane traveling nearly as much (kind of hate it TBH) is the whole airport bureaucracy and security theater you need to go through just to get on the plane. And the incredibly cramped seats (though maybe not a factor for you, if you were privileged enough not to fly Economy).
Easy enough to do in VR, but you'll just get a splitting headache and eyestrain. Human brains are not set up to deal with this.
Yes, at least in Germany they do. Homeopathy is pretty mainstream here.
I don't really get that mentality. If the show is bad, the books are still just as good and you'll have lost nothing except maybe some wasted time.
Excellent, this makes me happy as a Unity dev.
Can only speak for myself but basically they're cheaper. For someone like me who doesn't print a lot and doesn't care too much about printing speed, tank printers are a good option. "Everyone should get a laser printer" was a valid argument when the only other option was ink cartridge printers with shitty DRM, but nowadays there are other good options.
There's currently a law in the pipeline that would scan all conversations, videos and images sent over social networks as well as chat apps like Whatsapp for illegal material. It would also include backdoors in encryption technologies and possibly banning any services that don't comply with the scanning, e.g. Signal. Love the EU in principle, but unfortunately it's often used by national governments to push things like increased surveillance.
Kind of well-known these days, but also obscure as we literally don't know who made it or even what it's called: "The most mysterious song on the internet"
