Alternate reading: stop running about and breaking the hearts of the unmarried freewomen, if you're shagging her, do it properly and above board.

Medieval era was, alas, pretty poor on women's rights and slavery was taken for granted. I don't think you'll find any slavery where rape was in practice forbidden.

The best solution for the people of the PRC and the State of Taiwan (RoC), and to undercut US imperial goals in the Asian Pacific is for the PRC to recognise an indepent Taiwan, in return for not being excluded from semi conductors and having free passage through territorial waters (and throw in recognition of PRC claims in South China Sea if you like).

Without the threat of invasion and a normalisation of ties both will help both economically and socially, and the shared cultural links will pull them together over time; and it ties the US's hands in meddling.

I think it's a little racist to remove agency from people who've made moves equally validly explained as self-defence and preservation against a hostile invader.

for example, the very idea of a "Brown comma" might more readily resonate with the concept of the Brown note.

Whoever it was, well played.

I'm glad you like it, as I think Mr Tudyk is grand I like to see him in things.

It's just not for me, and seeing a film I felt to not live up anything close to the hype always praised I felt compelled in this case to show a dissenting opinion.

You do you and enjoy it annually.

Two for you:

《The Wild Girls》 - Ursula K Le Guin

《Piranesi》 - Susanna Clarke

And if you read fast I reckon you could do China Miévilles 《The City and the City》 or Tade Thompson's 《Rosewater》 in a day.

Edit bonus: anything by Douglas Adams.

No, (though depends on your definition of art) but there's a reason that public buildings (Churches, for instance) were often the best decorated with murals, frescoes, and statues.

Also within local communities there would be musicians and artisans who were known for their work.

That said, art did become more privatised once the 17th century rolled around. Obviously varied by geographic regions, etc. (e.g. Artist items (amongst other items of worth) were deliberately shared out by many American Indian groups in potlatches as acts of redistribution.)

That's a list of Eurovision hits right there.

Moldova had a good run for a few years. Don't think they've made the finals over the last few though.

Pour one out for Ceres, for being downmoted so long ago people forget it was a planet.

Pour one out for Makemake and Hamuhea, for being discovered so recently they never got to be planets.

Person 1 takes some nudes and sends them to committed long term partner, long term partner's cyber security is lax and Person C gets access to P1's nudes and uploads them.

Person 2 has never taken nude photos, but unknown to them used a fitting room that Person D had hidden a spy camera in. Person D uploads these photos to the Internet.

How different do you think these two cases are?
