+1 for audiobookshelf

I use it for audiobooks and podcasts.

Does it support ebooks? Never known.

Anyway I wouldn't use it for ebooks, better to use a dedicated reader. Even if they seems to be the same stuff (books) they really are not as one is pure audio and other pure text. Way different way to use them that I think no good reader supports both formats at once in a satisfactory way.

Fixed that, you are correct.

Still, I don't care if they are gay or straight communist or fascist, black yellow white or gray. Software is a tool and its apolitical.

Doesn't solve any problem I have. Why switch?

Also, interesting concept the immutable one, but just... Why?

I doubt this can be classified as casual conversation, come on!

Why synapse?

Its a good choice for max stability, but its by far the heaviest and most resource intense server out there, and probably overkill for a few user installation.

Got both.

4 dogs 3 cats

Had to choose? Keep both

Dogs are a world ahead in terms of emotions and interactive brain. Cats are just overlords, they own the world and you exist for them.

What not to love from both?

This, but I prefer nginx.

And no real need for tailscale or cloudflare. If you do not like to depend on a third party service, either port forward and ddns or an external vps+wire guard if you have gcnat

When I have been in the us I used to tip around 15%. Accepted that as a weirdness of the us.

On my home country tipping is just weird and unheard of, so 0%.

Edit: last time I was in the us was like 15 years ago.

Rent a VPN, setup a wire guard tunnel and fuck your ISP!

Anyway having a real public IP on a residential block is basically impossible anywhere but in the USA, I guess.

You start a social life many times on your life. The people around you will change many times, and your relationships will change as well.

Don't feel pushed to start a social life.

Also, it's a skill you will take time thlo learn and make lots of mistakes, don't worry, it's normal.

And don't look for others approval in general, ota just wrong, but perfectly normal to look for. Still wrong
