Garmin. They have been churning out better and better stuff over the years. Its pricey, indeed, but both hardware and software quality is top.

Been using the Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar watch, which has amazing battery life, amazing sensors, top hardware quality overall and software is perfect for the job. Screen too is amazing (MIPS, not Amoled...).

Also using bike computer and radar (Edge+Varia), where battery life could be better, but easy to remediate.

There are competitors, but at the same price point I wouldn't ever give up in Garmin for them.

I have nothing against OpenStreetMao, and in fact I use it quite a bit, even contribute (using StreetComplete app).

But the reasons I use google maps and find it unreplaceable is trafic information, which is quite good and there is no real alternative.

That's unfortunate.

Personally I hate them and I think they are more harm than good.

Let's do some clarification: I can appreciate the high in the sky fireworks, while I simply hate those you fire by hand in between the legs of other bystanders.

Overall I think they are dangerous and should not be freely sold, while keep doing the big ones in the sky.

But, honestly, a form of art that harms so many people and animals maybe should be banned after all.

You need to copy or grab or create the device tree files. Usually by cloning a similar device. Vendor files are extracted from stock rom. Kernels, you need an official release from vendor to start width.

Italy here. Never used one, its useless in Italy. Use one if you want, but not for being safe from the government and law enforcement, no need for that.
