When you accidentally grab a blank slide and panic for a little bit.

Every Republican I know thinks that every person has to support themselves and their ideals alone. You vote in your own interests, no one else's, you work toward your own goals, benefitting no one else, and even when you help someone, it's only who you've decided deserves it, no one else. I'm sure they think that 1/3 of life deserves to die if it can't survive in this world. (Pay no attention to how much I i rely on government support to live, though - I'm special)

Maybe just this once, for old time's sake.

I think they're talking about "justified" madness. Realistic madness is just seeing things that aren't there, or reacting extremely to mundane stimuli, but if you had somehow been given comprehension of some higher truth about the world that nobody else would ever believe, the actions you take as a result of that knowledge might seem crazy to those around you, even if they're perfectly logical from your enlightened perspective.

Right? I love the sticker (minus the random capitalized words), but I've never been honked at in the 15+ years I've been driving. I feel like if people are honking at you, you're probably not paying enough attention.

I was my parents' dedicated cop watcher since I was 8, and this is definitely a big one that a lot of people overlook. It's one of the easiest features of even an unmarked police vehicle to spot from behind if you know to look for the folded light's mounting hardware. My wife is always surprised at how quickly I can spot a cop from long distance, and it's often because I spot something strange sticking out of the drivers' side mirror.

I agree that there should be phones that prioritize sturdiness for clumsy people, but I see things like sturdiness and waterproof capabilities used as an excuse to get rid of useful features, and I don't like it. I've had cell phones for over 2 decades, and I've never dropped one; having an SD card slot and headphone jack is much more important to me than durability, since I rarely hold it over water, and always make sure to keep a solid grip regardless of the circumstances.

Sweet Home Carolina! No, wait...

This is the issue. I really don't think that politics "accidentally" got to the point that it has. Politicians love power, and some of the best ways to stay in power are to rile your supporters up to near-fanatical levels, as the republicans did, or to have people in a situation where they feel forced to support you, as the democrats are currently enjoying. Regardless of who orchestrated it, I'm sure both parties are ecstatic about the state of the US political climate.

Conspiracy theorists are people who believe wild, baseless information, whose only sources are other people who believe wild, baseless information. My mom thinks that the US is owned by some guy in Montana because she saw a youtube video that said so. She believes that any time someone spells her name in all caps they're literally trying to enslave her. She believes that Donald Trump is literally the second coming of Jesus Christ, and that Elon Musk is one of his new disciples because he allowed him back onto Twitter. She believes that sitting in a chair that vibrates at a specific frequency is more likely to cure her stage 4 breast cancer than an oncologist. My mom is a conspiracy theorist, and she'll be dead soon from cancer that she found while it was still easily treatable with surgery, but decided then that oregano oil would be a more effective treatment.

3DS advertised AR from the get-go, even coming with a set of cards and built-in games to show it off. Never ended up being anything more than a neat tech demo that people forgot about almost immediately. Haven't really seen anything to make me think people are more interested in it now, over a decade later.
