As I said, yes, but also, let's work together to stop the slapping...

I mean, I don't often see a democratic voter who doesn't want to vote for a much farther left candidate - the issue is whether or not we'll be able to vote for one outside of voting 3rd party, which isn't an option that's going to be seen as legitimate any time soon. In the primaries, a majority of people just vote for the guy from their party who they think has the best chance of winning, which is pretty much always the one who got the most media attention.

I don't believe the American people wanted Biden to be the democratic candidate of 2020, I believe he was the guy the news companies focused on, and so blue voters voted for him because they thought everyone else was voting for him, wanting to band together against Trump. I hope the issue was Trump himself, and that once he's not running for president anymore we won't feel so forced to pick "whoever will win," but I don't really have any faith that some Trump-esque candidate won't just rise up to replace him for the next election.

Yeah, but they were making the point that most people use the earphone variety of headphone, so when you countered with the fact that headphones in general are better, it missed the mark. I have nice headphones, and yes, they're better than desktop speakers, but my wife is still using some cheap raycons she got because they sponsored a youtuber she likes back in 2019, and that's the much, much larger demographic.

If you ask someone on the street to show you their headphones, the vast majority will pull out a $20 in-ear set, or at best some airpods. People care a lot less about sound quality than you might expect, and prefer the convenience of a small, wireless pod over a nice pair of quality headphones.

I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I've absolutely loved it. I've tried learning Japanese many times in my life, but this is the first time where I feel like I'm really beginning to understand it. I'm using the pro version, though, so maybe it's less annoying than the free version.

I read this like a guy excitedly shouting out his guesses during a game of sexy charades.

I don't have a dog in the fight either, but what difference does that make? I'm a human with compassion for other humans - I care as much about their issues as I care about my own, and I don't want them to be tied down by prohibitions that don't make sense. A change can always be undone if found to be problematic; the apathy toward change is what really needs to be overcome.

Every generation looks at the next one and thinks it's weird and inferior - humans as a whole tend to believe their own experiences are the best, most logical way of doing things, which is something we need to keep in mind; the status quo is almost certainly not currently optimal, and we should be looking for ways to change it even as our own preferences nag at us to keep it the same.

You're saying we don't know what such a change will cause - that's called a narrative. Not a good or a bad thing - just the opinion you've chosen to defend. The bad thing is when the arguments you use to defend it don't hold up to scrutiny.

A horny teenage boy better learn to keep his hands to himself. I don't give a shit what he feels compelled to do, and neither should any woman who happened to set him off.

I played LoL back in the early 2010's, and I had to smurf to even enjoy the game. Once I got out of the beginning levels the other players' skill skyrocketed and I just couldn't keep up. I needed to make a couple new accounts just to be among players of my own skill level.

My wife and I are at the North Shore for our anniversary right now - we do it every year. Never been to the Isle, but the shore of Superior is definitely my favorite place.

That movie fucked me up so bad as a kid that I literally recoiled from this picture.
