Hate that you live in this but it does sound like a good setting for a story! Depressing family drama about decay/mortality vibes, maybe playing the inherent finite nature of our selves and bodies and larger social decay off of one another. Writing do be a good way of exorcising the demons/cleaning the mental doodoo pipe out for sure, i want to get back in the saddle with it myself.

Yeah this what I've read that they're most damaging to tree of heaven (also to grape crops but that it's fairly easy to spray the grapes such that they kill the flies)

Mostly a good system imo but this one is case-by-case. Most success i had pics-wise was when i stopped trying to get a smiling pic of me that looked good and not forced and just put a naturalistic looking selfie with a neutral (even slightly broody) expression as my first picture. a lot of this depends on your overall vibe though - idk if this is actually possible but i feel like i am Visibly A Sensitive Softboy so it has more that aura and less serial killer vibes. and some of my follow-up pictures show me havin a bit more fun. with a less boyish face than mine this might be tougher to pull off. but unless you can get someone to snap a really good candid smiling pic, smiles can look v forced and pained in a static photo.

oh also i don't know if you mentioned, but if you have a pet and have a cute pic of u and ur pet as a guy absolutely throw that bad boy in the rotation - shows you have a heart and can keep another living thing alive (sadly the bar is that low for fellxs dating ladies).

and YMMV on t * nder vs h * nge, they have different vibes/niches. i got a lot more matches with baddies of my type on t * nder but way more flakes who didn't even wanna have a convo let alone meet up. h * nge my match rate was pretty damn low (maybe this is insecurity talking but i wonder if mandatory height listing accounts for that since im p short), BUT i got my head and shoulders best match there which might be progressing into something serious rn so take that for what its worth.

used to love it, it was one my absolute fave shows. revisited after my politics evolved a shitton and i still love season 1 and 2 but HATE 3 and massively mixed feelings on 4 as they pivot into comic book china bad supervillain horseshit. 4 redeems itself a bit with some good character drama separate from the overarching political plot but i really cant stand the dark army/deus group bullshit and it sours the whole rest of the show for me. also cant buy that someone is so good at computer that they become such a central great man of history. show was ruined for me by the fact that sam esmail couldnt contain his insufferable shitlibness and trump derangement syndrome i guess (plus his gross Lib American exceptionalist xenophobia).

still though the first two seasons do capture the malaise of late capitalism under tech dystopia uniquely well, in a way very few pieces of media have IMO so it'll always have a special place in my heart for those reasons. i also have a soft spot for Elliot and think he would be cool if he just read some theory. i always imagined a rewritten back half of the show where he realizes the pitfalls of adventurism and actually decides to do his part to help lead a mass movement, falling back into being a small-but-important part of said movement that goes well beyond hacktivism. but that wld require the show to not be written by sam esmail so oh well. if u want a more stark view of how the show was always going to be inherently limited by his politics, just watch that Obama produced netflix abomination he directed.

oh also wtf is with the big final hack? spoiler if you care about spoilers for a a long-ended show (tried to do the right thing but sites spoiler tags are janky as shit so last chance turn around now if u no want to see) no dude this secret band of oligarchs doesnt just have Big Money Number that can be subtracted and redistributed a lot of their power and capital is gonna be in real assets and concrete state power and shit like wtf? (am i missing something or was this just genuinely v implausible?)

TL;DR big mixed feelings on mr robot but Elliot is almost cool and just needs a little Marx in his life (also it doesn't hurt that i often dress like him lol we feel like soul bros some days)
