Yes.

In England and Wales where I am based, there is a really useful website that has information on laws that police like to use for protests: https://greenandblackcross.org/guides/laws/. Its a bit of a shame that the National Lawyers Guild doesn't also provide public resources on laws for the US states that they operate in in a similar way.

I'm really surprised that nobody has made (at least a basic) native ModOrganizer2 clone that uses features that Linux filesystem's have that aren't present on Windows.

I don't have a deck but I do have a laptop with very similar specs and it has severe issues with performance. It isn't much better on my partner's GTX 1080 either.

SmartTube, my go-to way to watch, is having issues again today too. I presume it is to make people subscribe to YouTube premium but my first thought was to use Nebula instead.

The thing is: that Nazi scum will now be placed in an enclosed space that is full of marginalised people by going to prison. His time in there with them will perpetuate the culture of harm and discrimination.

You are the first recommendation for What Culture in the wild. I find their stuff a bit WhatMojo clickbait for my liking.

Voat came about when FatPeopleHate got banned Ovarit is similar but for the anti-trans subreddit GenderCritical. Gab is also on there which is an even further right Mastodon fork than Truth Social.

Cops and politicians are claiming credit for the quick response from local communities, and also the far right having generally really poor organizing practice, calling demonstrations in random locations they have never even seen before and not being present themselves to pull people together.

In Europe, its not uncommon for nurses and paramedics to volunteer on weekend nights around cities, primarily to supplement the underfunded and understaffed ambulance service by patrolling with a first aid kit and defibrillator since it gets easy credits towards their degrees. While there is a working relationship with Police, its pretty established in those roles that keeping the cops at a bit of a distance tends to be for the better. If you have the cops about, people tend to lie more and get worse care because of it. They also tend to consent less. I'm not saying incidents don't happen, but having cops about causes more of then than it prevents.

Blåhaj doesnt have downvotes and I occasionally miss being able to down vote people replying to requests with something that someone specifically said they don't want in the full-text. For other stuff, report tends to be applicable, particularly spam and racist trolls who just come to advertise or attempt to change the culture of Lemmy.

This is victim blaming and you should be ashamed.

If only you could disable prompt on an already logged in device login. It almost completely eliminates half of the point of having 2fa.
