I realize this is the linux gaming sub, but it's worth mentioning that this is on Gamepass too (I still use Gamepass on Xbox even though I don't game on Windows anymore).
The problem isn't the mechanics, the problem is getting repair parts. Tesla is the only one who makes Tesla parts and they've decided that those parts are going toward new Teslas, not repairs. (My Tesla was in the shop for 11 MONTHS thanks to this fun state of affairs.)
While EV's that share a platform with ICE cars are generally worse than ground-up EV's, the nice thing is there are plenty of repair parts available.
Am I missing something? I read that whole article and didn't see Clinton mentioned once.
According to the game’s original pitch on Kickstarter, it would be a space sim with a co-op multiplayer game, an offline single-player experience, and a persistent universe. It’s since become a massively multiplayer online game and a separate single-player game with first-person shooter elements called Squadron 42, which RSI originally pitched as “A Wing Commander style single player mode, playable OFFLINE if you want.”
This is what bugs me the most about this whole fiasco. I paid into the original Kickstarter because Wing Commander through Freelancer were my favorite games and I wanted more of that.
The current project, even if we were to VERY charitably call it a game and call it playable, is nothing like Wing Commander or Freelancer.
If they were still making an actual Wing Commander type game after all this time, my copium might still be in full effect. But this current... THING... isn't even the game they promised in the first place. It's so disappointing.
I have three EUC's and no Onewheels. Everything I've read and seen about them says they're underpowered, so they easily cut out, and when they do cut out, your body position makes it much harder to recover safely.
With a front-facing EUC, you can run off them if you're not going too fast. With a side-facing Onewheel, when it inevitably cuts out because it's underpowered and you have a huge lever to crank on it, you are gonna get hurt.
I love the idea of Onewheels. They're what initially got me into EUC's in the first place. But they're not safe. Hopefully this remedy helps.
+1 for Space Plan
I think what it is is that there's friendly fire enabled. There's no incentive to go kill other people like in some souls games, but strangers on the internet will be strangers on the internet.
It's super simple to limit your load to "friends only" seeing as how it's the default mode and it's right there next to the "start game" button when you load in.
I thought the game was spectacularly bad, but I seem to be in the minority. Makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills! It's a very pretty game with super shallow mechanics and it's designed for maximum grind. I can handle grind in an ARPG since it's kinda their thing, but you gotta have some good mechanics to go with it or it's just an idle/incremental game with prettier graphics.
I can't believe I just scrolled through 77 responses and nobody said "Poltergeist" yet!
Creepy clown on the chair, monster unter the bed, tree tapping at the window, coffins in the pool, whispers in the dark ("Get... out..."), little girl staring at static on the TV, etc. So much of it has become tropes now, but that's because they were so effective the first time!
Or they left it on while they were doing other things.
There's "not caring about" them and there's "making it so people who could play before now can't". You're purposely shrinking your active user base while simultaneously shutting out a growing segment of the market. In the name of a feature that's arguably not even effective at its goal.
