Russians take out a drone while riding a truck Possibly staged? Not sure what the drone is doing that close to the ground but it's cool so I'm posting it

News thread favorite John Mearsheimer in Kangerooland talking about "Israel". Covers a lot that we already know. Points he makes include: (as appropriated from the trueanon thread I found this on)

-Israel will never accept a two-state solution or a multi-ethnic democracy as their goal is explicitly an ethnostate. This is why they supported Hamas over the PLO historically, as Hamas provides a perfect foil compared to the PLO

-Israel cannot defeat Hamas, their only real options were ethnic cleansing of Gaza (which failed) or genocide (which is what they are currently doing)

-Israel is unquestionably an apartheid state, however, they are aware of the instability of apartheid (re. South Africa). This leaves ethnic cleansing or genocide as the only long-term solutions

-Post-10/7 Israel needs to deal with the fact that their reputation of deterrence has been badly damaged and they have reached pariah-state level

-Israel will have an increasingly difficult time dealing with external threats due to the advancements in drone and missile technology employed by Iran, Hezbollah, and Yemen

It's easier to imagine the end of the world than the death of Henry Kissenger

Ukranian Defence Ministry amends order on military medical commissions, expanding limits of fitness for service

the words and figures "with the exception of articles 2-c, 4-c, 5-c, 12-c, 13-c, 14-c, 17-c, 21-c and 22-c" have been removed from the Regulation, i.e. everyone will be recognised as fit under the "controversial" articles:

2-c – clinically treated tuberculosis;

4-c – viral hepatitis with minor functional impairment;

5-c – asymptomatic HIV carrier;

12-c - slowly progressive and non-progressive with minor functional impairment and rare exacerbations of anaemia, blood clotting disorders, purpura, haemorrhagic conditions, other diseases of the blood and haematopoietic organs, and some disorders involving the immune mechanism;

13-c - diseases of the endocrine system with minor functional disorders;

14-c - mild, short-term, painful manifestations of mental disorders;

17-c - neurotic, stress-related and somatoform disorders with moderate or short-term manifestations, with an asthenic state;

21-c – slowly progressive diseases of the central nervous system with minor functional disorders;

22-c – episodic and paroxysmal disorders, except for epilepsy, with minor impairment of organ and system functions.

I think considering the failure of the couteroffensive, as well as the delays in Western equipment and the severity of Russian rocket attacks it's fair to say that Ukraine is operating at a pretty large materiel disadvantage. Also we've seen the problems faced by the Ukrainians when it comes to conscription, seemingly coming to a head with the firing of the enlistment guys. So without sounding like a bot, what exactly is holding the Ukrainians together? Pure ideology? and an (understandable imo) unwillingness for big arrows from Wide Putin? Or am I overestimating the damage dealt to Ukraine's ability to wage war?

Thinking about it, this war isn't going to end for a very long time unless Putin comes up with some "knockout blow" or Ukraine has a drastic change in management. Or maybe they really will fight to the last Ukranian. yea
