Oh damn, so just viewing a file in your file manager is enough to get infected in an insecure desktop environment, as thumbnails can be generated programmatically? If I clicked a bad link that would 100% infect my system.

I'm not worried too much about screen-capture. I'm worried first and foremost about triggering any arbitrary code execution and thumbnail generation on a file would definitely do it.

I didn't even consider the possibility that people would consider Republicans to be literally the result of a Chinese plot (although there was open Russian intervention on Trump's side). But I suppose it is entirely possible people would read things this and come to that conclusion.

Like in any game period? Big claim and you’re probably not interested in backing it up, but I’m curious.

Nothing major, just that combat is the default mode of operation for most games, especially AAA games. So I generally trend away from games that are built around combat.

IDK, trailer had a good deal of combat—just thought to give you a heads up in case you care about the combat.

I'll play the demo eventually, so I'll probably find out how I feel then.

I don't get the joke, but it's funny nonetheless.

I added it when I saw someone praise that the trans-flag shirt gives you extra damage with bricks. Last-minute addition and probably going in my "closer-scrutiny" pile along with Tiny Glade and Dollmare.

It's clear Mark Rutte is talking to Trump like he's talking to a child. He's buttering Trump up because it's clear superficial gestures are enough to please him.

It does reflect positively on the influence of America, but not on Trump himself.

Then let me instead zero in on a different idea, from before I edited in the TLDR.

"Both sides are made up of horrible people, just with different policy"

Russia's been bombing Ukrainian schools and hospitals, if Russia does retaliate I don't think a drone attack on war planes is sufficient to call it "provoked".

I answered with a question because your question was absurd.

I support the fight for self-determiniation in Palestine, Hawaii, US territories, Punjab, Taiwan, Ukraine, Somaliland, Kurdistan, and Kosovo. I'd probably support a bunch more fights if I'd have heard of them.

I don't support, and in no universe will I ever support, Russia's war of aggression in order to exert control over Ukraine.

Australian Labor is not the UK Labor Party. They have actual talent, because somehow an island of 25 mil can muster more talent than one of 68 mil.

I'm sure some will say that Australian Labor is centrist or even center-right. But regardless, they're at least halfway competent.

Just deleted my Facebook account. Now I just need any of my friends to install Threema (or maybe Revolt?).

I just finished my accounting course yesterday, but I'm not sure my assignments met the training guidelines so I'm hesitant to uninstall Windows if I may be asked to come back and redo some assignments (not sure I even need Windows for that though).

Reddit is still an issue, can't find Twitter manga and de-Americaification advice on Lemmy.

YouTube I've reduced my engagement on but haven't deleted. Discord I'm lurking in some essential group chats. Still on an 10-year old iPhone, gotta get a new open-source one. I'm sticking with Steam for games.

They already mine rare earths in America and Australia, it's just production's slow because there's not much demand for gourmet rare earths.
