I just fundamentally disagree, after watching hundreds of anime and just lots of media in general, there is definitely tropes and excessive repetition of stuff, but the specific tropes referenced here are objectively not prevalent in every genre of anime. Perhaps Isekai and high school slice of life romance but not super prevalent outside of that. And most newer or older anime don’t have it either, there was a very short band of time where what he mentioned was prevalent.

I can't even remember how many times the wrong music as background noise has screwed with my mood for no reason

That's true, I was just hoping to maybe convince you to try out something that maybe you don't know is wonderful yet. I've had that experience with music before, and I think it helped me to understand why people like things

That’s really interesting cause in my experience it’s been the opposite, I feel way too limited and also overwhelmed using kde apps, the plethora of gnome apps on flathub dedicated to doing one thing really well are just wonderful. And sometimes more complicated ones show up too like Design or Denaro or Planify.

I think that’s just cause video games are not great entertainment for grander story beats. They’re kinda like knitting or watching tv, something you do in your off time to relax or get away but not really flashy enough like gambling or an opera house to be featured.

That’s really interesting, I guess that’s a play style thing huh. For me having just played the dlc very early on into my playthrough of zero dawn (I was level 18 when I started lol) I can definitely see those qualities coming through. And my god is it fun, I’ve never had more fun fighting enemies than I did in that dlc. Enemies having more ranged attacks pushed the difficulty perfectly for me. If anything your comment has made me more excited for the game. Thanks

Wheely transporter? Everyone I’ve ever known has always called these "dollies". Maybe it’s just an American thing. Also I actually looked up dolly to get this image.

I guess that’s fair, I rarely need to switch between windows that heavily so workspaces setup with what I need when I need to switch makes vanilla gnome work perfectly for me. Especially since hitting the super key let’s me see everything at a glance. I also hate tiled setups since they make me super unproductive as the windows are more cumbersome when they aren’t maximized or floating.

Something about whitespace and negatives I guess. Same thing that makes libadwaita the nicest ui toolkit to me. Kde was just too busy while libadwaita and gnome struck the best balance between usability and visuals.

I think it’s just a case of different people enjoying different things.

Might I ask what you do for work? I do software development stuff at my job and I’ve found gnome lets me be like 3x as productive as other desktops. The simple desktop experience coupled with the robust app ecosystem simply can’t be found anywhere else. I use like 3 monitors with dozens of apps open as well.

30 as a normal family is interesting? I think most people wouldn’t consider that normal unless you’re dipping deep into cousins. However, your point is valid though that 30 does not qualify for scalability.

That said, the webUI doesn’t lag at all for me and I have no errors or warnings in the console. No one who uses it has reported those things to me either. Are you sure you set everything up properly? I did have performance problems back when I did still have errors and warnings in my console. If your cron tasks are setup properly everything should be smooth.

To be fair, I don’t have any experience with the webmail though.

There was also a talk at GUADEC that discussed this exact feature but even more fleshed out, I believe for GNOME. It was reminiscent of iOS or Android’s sleep and resume capabilities for apps.
