I think it needs access to all your host files as well, let me see if I can replicate that error.

As much as I agree with saying that for Naruto, hard disagree on One Piece, that is one of the best series ever made at least in my opinion. Why do you think One Piece does the same thing over and over again, the story and world have evolved so much I find that hard to believe.

I generally speaking like most of the other things you say on lemmy, so I’m just gonna agree to disagree and move on. Have a nice day

Aside from the integrated terminal in almost any app, I think gnome has all those other features you mentioned. I do have to say KDE is definitely more customizable though. Also not sure I would say gnome has any MacOS features, the two are very different in my experience. But gnome is definitely lagging on implementation of Somme Wayland things. UI/UX is king though for me so here we are lol.

So you’re forced to use Ubuntu, not GNOME? Why don’t you just install KDE then? I understand them wanting to keep distros the same between people if anything but DE shouldn’t matter.

Not sure, the thing they use to lift it is a car jack but what they lie on? Not sure

Actually regarding the app department (caveat is that I have an iPhone looking to switch to android), there has been a huge wave of developers making apps for mobile Linux or making their apps compatible. So much so that someone like me (I download everything that’s shiny) has more than had his app needs met and exceeded by what has been released.

Actually my main reason for wanting mobile Linux to succeed is because these apps look and work so good. Especially the gnome ones, the app ecosystem alone makes mobile Linux desirable.

Honestly, even more so when you consider how mobile linux could potentially get Apple levels of cross-device integration (without the baggage), and the ability to have the same UI on your phone and computer. I want to use gnome and libadwaita apps everywhere lol.

I'm not saying I have any problem with it, it's their work after all. I was just asking a question since I couldn't find anything that clarified the project's position. And tbh I would feel very uncomfortable entering their channels, asking if they support flatpak and then leaving. So I figured I would ask on lemmy and leave the information for all who were equally curious.

While this is a cool concept, I don’t think there is a single organization with the money needed to pull it off that wouldn’t also ruin the concept with monetization features. Maybe some kind of community made game could accomplish it, similar to what the Thrive devs are doing, but the amount of consistent resources needed would be a lot.
