Umm... is this post edited or something. I'm seeing

Donating canned goods to food pantries is like donating needles and syringes to a cancer research organization

I don't see the word "used" in it. So, it sounds like he's saying donating medical supplies to an organization that does medical research?

To which I'd say yes both seem helpful to an organization that helps people in need.

I mean that's kind of crazy hyperbole... RFK Jr, is still a crazy who only appeals to a tiny portion of people. Biden would continue to lose ground to trump, but I imagine he'd have probably held the popular vote, but remain losing in all the states that matter for the election.

Honestly I haven't heard any of my right wing coworkers etc... talk about this particular company, but I have heard a lot of elon worship from them. IE I hear a lot of them talk about how he's gone so pro free speach with twitter. (and they tend to ignore me when I point out that he's censoring every bit as much as the old twitter, he's just nicer to the nazis and less nice to the left.

I'd say less that right wing ideology cares about enshitification one way or the other, but what they do care about... is the ability to not be sensored for hate speech. With less mods, and the remaining mods having worse tools.

The "as moderate of a democrat as one can be and still have a chance of winning. That's the part that always drives me crazy and wonders what would happen if we ran say a full on AoC/Sanders democrat in some of those areas. IE they are working to appeal to the people that won't vote for them under any circumstance, a Manchin couldn't win because putting a D next to the name is an automatic loss for the majority of voters.

The key there IMO is the only way to win is to actually inspire the people that don't vote to come out. The people that are not even slightly impressed with the republicans. Maybe there aren't any there, or maybe there are tons that just haven't had a candidate to vote for.

Now as far as supporting the less crazy than MTG, honestly I don't see a good reason to. Would you rather a composed polite person vote to gut healthcare, or a total psycho that embarases everyone to vote to gut healthcare. At the end of the day her policies are the same as most moderate republicans, with the exception of getting on the news and saying the quiet parts of the plan on speaker. IMO if the seat is going to vote against anything we want, and for everything we don't want no matter what... then just ignore it and focus on winning seats that will. There's 434 other places to focus our attention on,

Bottom line to me is, no I don't trust the government at all. Unfortunately the options are the government and private insurance. and seeing how the government is the only thing that stops them from charging super sky high premiums, and then find excuses not to cover anything when you get sick.

would be nice, but doesn't seem to really happen, (incumbancy advantage). Also the bigger problem that isn't solved by voting them out or even term limits. Access to money is important to win an election. Same people have money, those people pick candidates that are loyal and see to it that they win. When one old corrupt politician dies we'll get a new one pushed by the corporate media.

well in a way it is I think. The blackouts have pretty much ended, but many mods left. Many mods are demotivated, and many users are leaving due to worsened apps. They survived the blackouts, but the long term effects will have them bleeding for a long time.

It would be kind of interesting to see if there's a ratio of evil characters to their actors doing crimes. I mean the most obvious that comes to mind is Kevin spacey. Though it doesn't seem to be higher rates for celebs that play evil characters vs ones that play lovable good characters. Least most don't consider Bill Cosby or OJ Simpson to have played particularly evil characters. So I'd say in general money and fame cause an increase in likelyness of being evil, the on screen persona doesn't seem to be a huge contributing factor.

Honestly I feel any situation in which they put a touch screen near you, and have an ordering system should be done like this. Waay off topic but my local sonic has touch screens on all of their 50 pull in spots, that can only be used to turn through ads before you hit the button to talk to the person over the shitty half working intercom system.

Yeah in short even the democratic party notes that. When the DNC was sued under the accusation of rigging the primaries against Bernie Sanders. The case was thrown out for lack of standing. In short the DNC said "You are accusing us of rigging the primaries... but rigging the primaries isn't a crime so there's no reason to spend the time proving it one way or the other".
