Never sure how to approach a conversation about Israel/Palestine. Sometimes I feel it's smart to be more defensive around my more indoctrinated family, esp as they are not happy about me being trans and I need decent or at least neutral relations for financial reasons. Around leftists I usually push to the maximum, around random people I usually try to probe the terrain and try to get them to question the most glaring BS. Not sure if I should be more aggressive. I am in a fairly exposed situation rn and can't afford to be caught with a gaffe for personal reasons. I attend demonstrations, health and jobs permitting, but it really feels insufficient. I don't have a group I am in rn bc the last one was a clusterfuck or not helpful at all.
