Everybody who voted for Biden didn't even vote for Biden. The 2020 election wasn't about Biden or Harris, it was about Trump.
Israel is a state actor that has not signed on to the ICC, just like the US. Hamas is a non-state actor over which the ICC claims jurisdiction, just like the Taliban and any number of other terrorist groups. The US is really afraid of setting a precedent here that might impact it in the future.
The US abandoning Israel would throw the whole region into turmoil. Iran and/or it's proxies would become far more hostile and Israel would no longer be willing to even pretend to tolerate a hostile force within its own boarders. Both Gaza and the West Bank are just gone. Israel would start cutting deals with US rivals which would have global implications.
US pulling out of Israel would be the most chaos inducing event in world history.
But I'm not either, as I made quite clear.
Words fail me.
I don't doubt it.
Again, witnesses would then be able to spew bullshit non-answers until their allotted time is up. If Senators don't shut them down, they might as well never have hearings at all - especially with hostile witnesses. Time is also not allotted to the witnesses, it's allotted to the Senators.
Then you should have known better. The fact that you had that experience and still made that ignorant statement is worse, not better.
Why are you starting from an assumption that soldiers are somehow oblivious to the tragedies of war?
If your such a peacenic, then you should not be rewarding attempts at territorial acquisition by warfare. Every death in this mess can be laid at the feet of Putin and his supporters.
The state of the war is about a hell of a lot more than the location of the front lines. How much progress has Afghanistan made in pushing back the American invasion before the Taliban effectively won? Ditto that for the previous Russian invasion.
The fact that Russia's entire Black Sea fleet is afraid to leave port is pretty important, especially when it allows Ukraine to continue shipping grain. The ability of Ukraine to strike accurately deep into Russian territory, and the inability of Russia to defend it's critical infrastructure is also relevant. Corruption drains far more of Russia's resources than it does Ukraine's, and authoritarian leadership means frontline units are unable to respond quickly to changing conditions. That's a small part of why Russian moral is so low that troops must be deployed to shoot frontline troops as they try to escape. That's not happening on the Ukrainian side.
It seems to me that Ukraine is still very much in this fight. It's not like Russian advances have been all that effective.
Let's not forget how hard Biden worked to rehabilitate the anti-Trump Republicans. He has more Republican speakers at the DNC than progressives. All the worst shit Trump did had been Republican agenda items for decades. He should have hung Trump around their necks. Instead, he nearly handed them congresss.
Cowardly terrorists at war with cowardly terrorists. It would be hard for me to even give a shit, except that both sides will focus their attacks on civilians.
I wasn't taking about "memes" I was talking about this meme (and others like it). You are doing to me exactly what you claim I did to you.
I didn't claim you said that your position was that this was Democrats biggest problem, or anything else you claim I said (or implied) that you said. That was a simple supposition to highlight that this is not a strategically intelligent way to address the problem, even if we presume it to be a massive problem.
